I have become the worst blogger. I didn't mean to, and I don't want to be, but neither change the fact that I have posted a grand total of 18 photos so far this year. 18! In 2015, pre-daughter and photography business, it was more like 400. There are so... Continue reading

This Diamond Creek family weren't so interested in the traditional newborn photos - baby looking all sweet curled up in a wrap - so much as photos of them loving on their baby boy. That's my kind of photo shoot! Families being themselves, relaxing in front of the camera, snuggling... Continue reading

Today my little girl turned 18 months old. As a 'half birthday' we celebrated with half a cake, or 'cake-eee' according to Milly. At 18 months old, Milly: is a delight to Mike and I on a daily basis. speaks over 40 different words, with a new word or two... Continue reading

My sister texted me this photo during an afternoon of Aunty Jenna and Milly time. I ADORE IT. That expression on her little face, looking up... ADORE. Apparently she was 'tickling' Jenna. A sketch template from Simple Scrapper's August membership collection inspired the design. Being a texted copy of a... Continue reading

I think it's probably the 'up' and 'book' requests that most detour my intentions. I can't say no to that little face standing there with a book almost as big a she is, wanting to sit on my knee and read books together. :)

This was an absolute dream of a newborn session and I have trouble narrowing it down to my favourite photos. I've been best friends with Nicole since we were about 8 years old. Chris, this brand new Dad, is her little brother so I've known him since he was even... Continue reading

When even my sister comments that my blog name, And So I Don't Forget, is becoming ironic, it's probably time to do something about it. To break my unintentional blogging hiatus, five things there are more of and five things there are less of in my life post-Milly. More Swinging.... Continue reading

I've known the lovely Miss Mila since she was only 12 weeks old and she has had that impressive head of hair the entire time. That little ponytail is just adorable. Although I have no doubt she can keep her parents on their toes, Mila has an air of calm... Continue reading

In all honesty progress on my December Daily album is somewhat stalled, however I did use a Sketch Template from Simple Scrapper's June membership collection to create this 6x8 layout for Day 14. The patterned paper is all out of a 6x6 set from Elle's Studio. The Premium Membership at... Continue reading

After asking for an updated family photo for quite a while, a gift voucher for a family photo session was waiting under the Christmas tree for this lovely Mum and Grandma. Her daughter had even prearranged a date and time with all her siblings signed up to be there. It... Continue reading

At 14 months and 2 weeks old, Amelia is: Saying mama, dada and up frequently. Excited by dogs and birds. She has a word (maybe it's a sound) for each and loves to spot 'do' and 'bir' for a chance to say them. Very chatty. At home, or when she's... Continue reading

This layout was based on a sketch from the Simple Scrapper March membership collection. It's just a simple list of things I am loving right now. I printed my journaling onto white cardstock and cut a title from the same cardstock for a subtle effect. The 3x4 card and chipboard... Continue reading

These two sweethearts are full of personality and as different as can be. While big sister was easy-going and happy to please, little sister kept me on my toes. I love the mix of photos that resulted, the pretty smiles and the energy and enthusiasm that bubbles over. Continue reading
1. Today was a wet, cold and miserable day that made me long to snuggle back down into bed. I am not looking forward to winter in the slightest, but need to get organised a buy a new coat and boots. 2. Yesterday, being the ANZAC Day public holiday, we... Continue reading

That little body of hers is filled with personality, no doubt about it. Good percentage of it cheeky. ;) She has a little armchair, that used to be my Mum's when she was little, and crawls up onto it, sits back and has such a 'queen of all I survey' look.

No doubt she's a chocolate-lover like her Mum! Let me now if your order is delivered, as I could definitely do with one of those myself. I was watching a few videos of Milly last night from when she was only a few months old - you forget how little they were!

...from my chocolate fiend family to yours. It wasn't my intention to be so absent here; life just feels so very full at the moment. But I don't want to forget the wonderful, surprising, exhausting, delightful details of our life right now, so I'll do better. Be back soon. xx Continue reading

Just look at those glorious curls! There is no doubting who these two young cuties belong too. :) It was a wet and miserable morning when we met up in the park, although the rain cooperated and cleared with perfect timing. A fitting Melbourne summer's day for this family who'd... Continue reading

Seeing fathers loving on their little babies has to be one of my favourite things in the world. Little miss Mia of the incredible blue eyes and gorgeous chunky thighs. It was a grizzly start to our photo session, which later made sense when she popped a tooth. (Discovered when... Continue reading

Happy 1st Birthday to our wonderful Milly. Baby girl, we've adored you from the moment we met you, and with each giggle and 'proud of myself' grin it becomes harder to remember our lives without you in it. It hasn't always been easy, and I think we've been learning almost... Continue reading

I'm quickly learning the challenge entailed in taking a family photo when two young children are involved. With one child, patience, encouragement and some giggles will generally provide that moment of everyone smiling at the camera. Two young children though, looking and smiling at the same time.... We might get... Continue reading

This photo is a favourite of their Mum's. She has a sent me a photo of it, printed out large on canvas and up on the wall. That gives me all the feelings! It's such a privilege to be invited into people's lives to capture precious moments for them, and... Continue reading

New Year's Eve I headed outside with Milly and my camera to have a quick and impromptu photo session. I need to do this more because I love these photos. These expressions and poses are (or were, because she changes so quickly!) the ones I see everyday - her thinking... Continue reading

I do read your Amelia posts with interest, and get a laugh every time when it takes me that moment to realise 'different Amelia'. Thank you for your kind words. It's easy to forget it probably took 6 months till we really knew how a Milly day should go, with nap times, feeds etc. I can be such a homebody though, I do need to make sure I'm pushing myself regularly to get out the door and do things. Particularly now that Milly is just fascinated by new things. :) After a gorgeous day yesterday, in true Melbourne fashion, it's a wet and miserably day here today. While I try and make the most of our remaining summer, enjoy your lengthening days. :)
