Lauren, You're such a sweetheart! I'm always doubting my decorating and thinking I'm not very good at it. If I could stop looking at all the magazine your home style blogs and quit comparing I'd be okay. Working on expressing my own unique style and not comparing but sometimes I get caught-up in it. We all have unique ways of expressing ourselves. I'm really happy about the way my kitchen turned out and I even like the red wall in the living room again (especially since hubby painted the fireplace) I love looking at white and pastel colored rooms but deep inside, I'm a color gal and needs lots of color!
Hi Sheri, I do the same thing with my hubby "to the right, to the left" Of course you would like the little pops of red! Red Rose Alley the perfect space where you and your daughters create and share happy goodness! I know about Nel's stressful job. Soon, she and new hubby will be in Paris! I've never been anywhere overseas. I hope she'll share lots of pictures when she returns. Hope hubby is better and you don't catch his cold. I really do need to slow down and take better care of my health.
Hi Sharon It's just a little bit crooked. Not enough to drive me completely crazy. I think I'm going to leave it as a reminder that life isn't perfect.
Thank you Lynn. Everyone seems to like the chandelier. It was a great buy at Lowed a few years ago. I added the christmas ornaments for a little bling and like it so much that I left them hanging.

Pat, took a look at your studio and I love it! You have quite the assortment of lens. With the white walls and natural light it will be perfect for photography!
Glad to hear you're doing well. Now I'm curious what you're working on and can't wait to see the reveal of your project next week. I had no idea that February is heart month. I also had no idea that at age 56 I would become a heart patient. Last year I was feeling very tired, breathless and couldn't tolerate exercise very well. After an ER visit and lots of tests they found out I have a heart condition that is genetic. Thankfully, I have low BP, normal cholesterol and no blocked arteries. Have to do everything in moderation. Balance is key isn't it? Now i need to go over and see the before and after of your studio.
Thank you Lauren! It's always good to have you stop by and I love reading your commnets! Yes, it is a sleigh bed. Too bad the room isn't large enough to appreciate the beauty and shape of it, but I'm very thankful to have a great bed to sleep in! As far as color palettes in the home, I am beginning to go with a softer palette too. I still love to have bold pops of color but find I'm toning things done. I especially want the bedroom to be soft and restful. As a color loving gal I'll probably always have some pops of color. Next up..........getting rid of the red accent wall in the living room.
Hello my bloggie friend! So good to hear from you! Glad to hear that you'll be blogging more. I love hearing about your adventures and family gatherings! You always take me on some lovely tours of Washington and other travels! We'll be talking more requently as we visit each other more often.

Thanks Joyful thrifter!
Stephanie! Thank you! I felt a little guilty spending all that money but I'm going to love everything for a long......time! I'm all for re-purposing where I can to save money. I think the suggestion for leaving the table top unpainted is a great idea! I popped over to your place and was instantly smitten! You are a fantastic storyteller and your house is farmhouse perfect! Thank you so....much for giving my blog a shout out!!!!

That's a great story Debby! Thanks for sharing. Good thing you had the patience to help that poor frightened dog. It's amazing how he got past you and jumped in your car!
