I am a Google shareholder. I do, in fact, click on the occasional ad. Now that we've established that my opinion (as a shareholder) is what counts, my official stance is that an ad-funded service must rely on user feedback to ensure those users will continue to use the site and hence generate more ad revenue. I've not once, as a shareholder, voted (or had the opportunity to vote) on whether a Google+ account should be mandatory to like videos on YouTube. I suspect they must be of the "user opinions matter" on the issue as well.
