Great find, thanks for keeping your ear to the ground :) It's very elusive to find those Christian podcasts that are not merely a sermon feed.

Thanks for sharing the back story, very helpful to know the thinking behind the design and the strategies and the timeline. This design is indeed quite the visual experience. What I did notice was the difficulty in trying to "Pin" the home page onto my Pinterest board, was hoping to share the event with others that way, but can't easily as is. :(
What a way to start a new year 2012! And now that you'll be married to a President, does that make you a First Husband? :)

An adjacent idea is a Church Without Walls. That term is already being lived out by NewSong Church in Irvine, CA, where the people of the church are the church, and not so much the organization. While we theologically believe in the priesthood of believers, we haven't found a good response to empowering and training our church attenders and members to collaborate even more using tools readily and freely available to us-- both inside and outside the church walls. Too much of what is being shared and produced for the church is done by staff and pastors, and we the organized & branded church aren't platforming the many individuals and groups who we say are the church, but churches sure make it look like the staff is the church ;(

You can get a "taco salad" at Chipotle by ordering a salad and a side of chips. That's how Wendy's serves up their taco salad. Sometimes you gotta think outside the bun :) :)
And I've also heard that the first multi-site book you wrote, The Multi-Site Church Revolution, was translated into Korean! So what do multi-site churches look like there in South Korea?
Bruce, nothing to worry about. The food will come to you! From Monday noon to Tuesday noon, all meals will be provided and/or catered with snacks in between. Rest assured you will not go hungry! So we'll have a good time, and some time to hang out too.. see you in Dallas next week!

Danny, no harm done or taken. You quoted chapter and verse, while I used my own venacular in my closing remarks to provide a disclaimer. So, we're covered on both fronts from misinterpreters. :) I couldn't well let the Piper fans get away with all their raves unanswered :)

This one college dude raised enough for an Intel Mac in just 23 days (see http://makemeswitch.blogspot.com/) so I think you've got a good shot at getting there one day soon too! :) (now, the question on the table is, would you make video appeals or some other pitches too?)
