Great Show. I brought my two teenagers and they loved it. Steve Miller and Thorogood on-stage together doing Muddy Waters and Bo Diddley felt like a guitar history lesson. I told my sons they had to have their "vegetables" before their "dessert". Thorogood & Steve Miller didn't disappoint them, playing all of their classics as the combined show was approaching 4 hours.
I forget to mention Sosa who set his career high for points and has benefited from all that time playing international ball. Great game Isaac !!
Great game last night ! The crowd was great. The team entering the arena through the student section shows that Coach Speraw appreciates this fan base. This is a young team, but with a more polished Rompza, a mature red-shirt freshmen Diakite, and a raw but athletic Clanton leading this team, we could have a great nucleus to launch this program. If UCF isn't careful, it could join the Big East and be known for being a basketball school.
As a fan who purchased tickets to this road game to show support, I was disappointed with the coach's decision. I understand injuries, but it appears like the Coach mailed this one in. It his right to play who he wants, but don't be surprised if fans don't want to risk the investment (i.e. tickets, airfare, hotels) in a travel game when the coach does not field the "best team" possible.
Marcus should wear the Jordan brand. This is not a spoiled superstar who is trying to negotiate "OJ Mayo-style" while he is in college. This is not even him choosing Nike over Adidas. This is family brand. Adidas well get better press by letting him off the hook. Besides the deal with UCF was for all sports, all clothing. This is hundreds of uniforms, hundreds of warm-ups and hundreds of shoes. One pair of Air Jordan's will not hurt the Adidas name. Besides it may give them some leverage in the negotiations for their new deal. UCF will look bad if they go back on their word to Marcus.
