Hi, All, For those of you who've been wondering what became of me, I'm still here and I'm okay - or will be. (I'm still working on this a bit.) This was originally a rather long post, so rather than impose, this is a now a short status report. If you're interested in getting more details, go here. Working through depression is never a snap, but I'm making very good progress. Thank you to everyone for your support, prayers, and cards. My office is a raging mess, so it's taking me some time to actually find items I need to send to some of you, but please know I haven't forgotten any of you and I appreciate your patience. The CCC has been given its own home! I am filled with gratitude to Gail who's kept the CCC alive by hosting it on her blog this past quarter. A lot... Continue reading

Hi, All! If you've been wondering about the Card Chain Challenge, it's alive and well and being temporarily hosted at my dear friend Gail's blog. You can sign up for the November CCC here. (Gail is a PEACH, so leave her love if you drop in!) I have an update as to my medical condition, and it's actually great news! I was diagnosed on Friday with Extensive Lumbar Disc Disease. (What on earth is great about that, you're probably wondering....) First of all, it sounds horrific but isn't. I mean, it's no walk in the park, but it's not like I'm doomed to a wheelchair, etc. I have arthritis which has caused moderate loss of disc height and mild spurring (hence the fancy-pants-scary-sounding disease name). This can be treated with physical therapy and medication. Scheduling physical therapy is in the works, and this will help alleviate the pain. They've given... Continue reading

Hey, there.... I was speaking to someone about my blog yesterday and realized I should probably give an update on my condition. Although I sent an email to a lot of the CCC regulars, I didn't really share here that I would be out of commission for awhile. So if you were wondering what had happened to me, I've been dealing with some health issues over the last few months that have prevented me from doing much here in blog land. I'm slowly getting better. Thank you to everyone who has sent me kind thoughts and cards and for those who have lifted me up in prayer. An especially HUGE thank you to Gail for stepping in and running the CCC until I'm back in the saddle. The CCC requires a HUGE amount of time and effort, (just ask Gail - lol!) and I am bowled over by her stepping... Continue reading

Hi, All! The reveal post for the July CCC may be a few days coming. There have also been some emotional upheavals this past week concerning some very uncool treatment of my dearest daughter. So I appreciate your patience and I'll get it up soon. Blessings, Deborah Continue reading
