Dear Nolwenn, Acrylic polymer is like plastic. It is waterproof and seals whatever surface it covers. Watercolor requires absorption to work effectively and last. Therefor, I recommend using masking fluid to create your boundaries or fence to keep the watercolor inside the lines. Also, pre-wet your geometric shape with clear clean water (once you have already laid down your masking fluid perimeter lines) and drop the color into the wet area with a brush and watch the color bloom and fill the wet zone. Then, once it is dry, you can rub off the masking fluid (by that time is like dried rubber cement), and see a bright white paper around the geometric shape. Let me know how this works for you and if you have any further questions! Thanks! Stephen
