I've been a fan of the movie ever seen I saw it in 3D. I knew Cameron had started a revolution in filmmaking.
Interests: I am interested in film. I want to be a film director when I get older, but I guess I need some experience first. I'm hoping to gain that experience in college when I have more time to do what I want on my own. High school is almost over, so I can't wait. :)

Haha, thank you guys! Nice to meet you. :)
I don't believe that Avatar changed my life as profoundly as most of the people here, but I DO know that it changed my perception on what a film is. I began to see films from a more artistic point... Continue reading

Okay, so it is a trilogy. That answers my question on another post. If he were making a movie just to make a good movie, stopping after this one would have been respectable. But I think that after all the time and money he invested in not only making the film but in creating the technology he used to make it, it is somewhat reasonable that he would want some more profit by making more movies. I mean he created an entire planet, language, and so many other things for this film. He probably assumes that it is not worth it to simply make one movie. But like you, I feel that it would have been better if he DID. I think it would be memorable that way. If the next two are good, people will see this as a good series but may not remember all the little magical moments in each one. But say the next two happen to fail, the first one will still be memorable.

So, is this supposed to be a trilogy or will there be more afterwards?

Touche. I'm willing to bet, though, that he'll bring in something totally new (not just a new plot). He definitely can't settle with what he had last time if he wants to keep his crowd pleased. Haha, I'm sure he'll surprise me.
@ Safire I watched a bit of the Golden Globes. Haha, I really thought Robert Downey Jr.'s little speech before reading the nominations for "Best Actress" was pretty awkward though. The guy's cute and all, but lol he may have overdone it. :)
Hey everyone! :) Has anyone heard about this yet? http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=72284 Continue reading

Haha, oh come on! I know the film was AMAZING, but it definitely wasn't good enough to win EVERYTHING. Cameron still has lots of room for improvement. That's why we're waiting for his new movies in the first place. :)
I know it won film, but I can't remember the others. It should have won for best score if it didn't already. Continue reading
