I carefully cut the top open, and slid out the disk. i wanted to keep the wax seal intact also.
here i dreamt i was an architect
My brain desperately wants to write some stories, so I've been digging through the pile of Ideas That Didn't Quite Make It to see if anything in there inspires me, or is at least worth dusting off and poking with a sharp stick. So far, two stories look promising, though one of them needs a fairl...
To be honest, after my first glance at this disk, I was disappointed in my purchase. I had only experienced your more serious writings, like "Hunter" (which we could discuss later), and "The Day After", having just read it hours prior to ECCC opening. So, tonight I thought I'd give it a second chance, and I'm glad I did! In fact, I'm only writing this because I needed to breathe and take a break from laughing so hard during Chapter 1 of "Just a Geek". I hadn't experienced your humorous writings yet. I'm looking forward to hearing more and enjoying the much needed laughter. Thanks for doing this DVD!
See you at PAX Prime.

Wil,
Thanks so much for being at ECCC again this year! I'll look for to seeing you at PAX Prime. I hope to finally make it to one of your panels/events. Please keep us posted on the scheduling (as it develops). Way too much fun at ECCC, you made it awesome!
Thanks,
Dave
Emerald City Comicon after action report
ECCC has officially joined PAX on the List of Conventions I Don't Ever Want To Miss. It's well-organized, staffed by competent and friendly volunteers, and has what is, in my opinion, the perfect balance of comics and popular geek culture. This year, I had to leave Saturday afternoon to fly home...
Could you please reserve one of the CDs for me? I intend to be in your autograph line within moments of the doors opening on Friday. Looking forward to seeing you (again)!
Thanks so much! :D
My Emerald City Comicon schedule, and an ultra-limited merchandise thingy
Tomorrow, I head up to glorious Seattle for the Emerald City ComiCon. I'm doing the usual storytellings and autograph signings, though I have to leave on Saturday due to an unfortunately-timed family commitment. I'm hosting an Awesome Hour on Friday at 4pm, and I'll be on The Guild panel with Am...
When's the full novel being released? Loved it! Great job! Yes, I do hope you revisit this setting/landscape again.
HUNTER is coming...
Check it out: A little excerpt from Hunter can be found in this post. Or you can keep reading here: Pyke chased the girl down a street still wet with the afternoon’s rainfall. A thin sliver of moon was glowing behind the thinning clouds, but it wasn’t bright enough to pierce the darkness betwe...
Will you have a more detailed schedule for ECCC posted? I don't want to miss out, like last year. You helped me make up my mind to attend ECCC. See ya in Seattle!
a few programming and personal appearance notes
If everything goes according to plan, I should release Hunter later today. It's 2500 words, about the length of what you'd read in a magazine, I think, and I'm pricing it at 99 cents, for people who want to buy it. I'll eventually put it here or wil wheaton books for free, for those of you who a...
More, must have more. Good stuff! Can't wait!
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Earlier this week, I was talking with my friend Amy Berg, who is one hell of a writer (she's an Executive Producer on Eureka, and created Cha0s when she wrote for Leverage). Amy's been encouraging me to write fiction for years, even when I regularly responded with statements like "I can't" or "I...
Absolutely hilarious! It's stories like this are encouraging me to delve deeper into the depths of gaming! Keep 'em coming!
Look me up next time you're in PDX, I know a great game store that always has something goin' on.
Thanks for the great laugh!!
In which we play Cal & D.
Saturday morning, I drove over to my friend Cal's house for D&D. Our friend Steve was already there, and our friend Martin was on his way to meet us. While we waited for Martin to show up, we caught up on our lives, told stupid (and not-so-stupid) jokes, and got ready for the game. "Hey, I broug...
