Congrats, C Note! You're an inspiration! :)
Programming Alert: Major Label Debut.
And if I made a fool, if I made a fool, if I made a fool On the road, there's always this And if I'm sewn into submission I can still come home to this Man. The world is weird. And sometimes, it can surprise you. I've been hired by SI.com as a contributing blogger. This post has been, oddl...
I attended my first ever tennis tournament at Indian Wells when I was on study exchange at Canada last year, and it totally blew my mind! I have no other tournaments to compare IW with, but it was such a great experience. Plus I was sitting next to C Note during Dani's loss to Roberta Vinci too! Now that I'm back in Asia, I doubt I will have the chance to attend IW again any time soon. It's sad, but I'm counting on FD's awesome coverage to take away some of the pain. Please keep a lookout for Dani too! Enjoy!
It's That Time of the Year Again.
If you're a relatively recent reader of Forty Deuce, I have some bombshell news for you: I FUCKING LOVE INDIAN WELLS. It is hands down my favorite tournament of the year to attend, and yes, that includes the two Slams that I've been to. Why do I love it so much? Well there are the non-tennis...
AHH I LOVE IT! :)
It's Like Seeing a Purple Zebra
Dani Hantuchova smiling on a tennis court? Wha? Oh, Darren. I JUST WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY. Katie: "It's because she saw me."
Love the info overloaded post! Anyway it's very windy out here hope you'll stay warm C Note!
P.S. I'm trying to see if I can randomly spot you in the IW crowd. If I do, maybe we can take a picture. Because that's what Asians do, right? :P
Things I Bought For Indian Wells
A smoke grey Casio Baby G watch. Because I am 16 years old. And because I'm actually 32 years old and haven't owned a watch in years. I will try and use it to blind Vika during her day matches. 2 tanktops. The San Franciscan in me is always very paranoid about being too cold. Thus I hav...
Again, thanks C Note for the wonderful post. You've created an outlet for all us frustrated-but-happy-to-be-so fans :)
The Highest of Highs, The Lowest of Lows
Perhaps it's because of the increased presence of social networking sites in tennis, or because my posts were particularly depressing, but I got a lot of questions from FD readers asking why/how I could be a fan of players who, at the moment, in a relative sense, suck. How can you stay a fa...
I'm a Mario fan too! But it sucks because I live in Singapore and they don't show much tennis and when they do it's usually late in the tournament, which means I don't get to see much of the underperforming players like Dani and Mario whom I so love..It does get better with buffer from Rafa and Andy Murray and Wozniacki, though :)

Diana added a favorite at Forty Deuce

Hi all, I've been following FD for a couple of years. I was happy to just read it and enjoy it daily, but when I read this post I knew I have to say my piece.
Thanks for the great post! I'm a Dani fan so I get you. Nothing like dancing around the room when she hits a perfect backhand down the line after hundreds of unforced errors. It makes her victories so much sweeter, that feeling has just no words to describe. I'm still waiting for the day she justifies herself. That day may never come, she might never be back in the Top 10, but still, true fans will stick by her all the way.
To all the true fans: the day will come when the players we love so much get back on to winning ways. Cheers!
