Agreed that using the Internet Driver's license of Facebook/Twitter solves the Gawker hack problem--but it still leaves open a Facebook/Twitter password problem.
I'm not going to feel good about passwords on the internet ever--even if they are being stored by a trusted source like Facebook/Twitter.
The only solution that will make me feel absolutely secure is to use GPG/PGP auth, allowing me to sign my authentication but own my secret key/password--never to be given to anyone.
