Setting goals is the easy part. Reaching goals is the fun part. Checking in on your goals? Less fun, but hugely important in actually making progress. I thought it would be good today (since we're just about finished with Q1)... Continue reading

I still can't get a post together about MAKE29. That was such a big project that I don't know where to begin (or end), but I thought it would be helpful to just talk generally about why I think that... Continue reading

Sometimes (almost always) the simplest projects are my favorite ones. When I bought this frame for Ellerie's Santa photos, I bought a second one thinking I'd "need" it for something. It sat in my garage for over a year. In... Continue reading

When I moved into this house in February 2013, Paul was deployed and Ellerie was still on the inside (I was about 27 weeks pregnant). SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED IN THOSE TWO YEARS. Of least importance is the fact that... Continue reading

Oh we hope so!! I stalk zillow to check the "z-estimate" all the time. so far we're on the up. ;) and I hear you about Ikea! I had no idea until I was in the store and SAW my cabinets. LOL.

I agree! the changes actually do feel small, but REALLY smart. It's shocking to me that they did it so quickly. they must have a had a real plan!

you'll see this in tomorrow's post, but one of the changes we made was to put travertine tile in the office. I HATE CARPET, so ideally we would switch it out in every room, but it's not cost effective for us right now. and yes! I never met the flippers but if I did I would hug them. They were so smart and made wonderful changes.

LOL, I have no idea. Looks like maybe a few fires.

I know!! about 20% of the houses in our neighborhood STILL HAVE THEM. must have been a thing in the 60s? Or a dangerous neighborhood for awhile? It's not something you would need now (obviously).

we do like the Ikea kitchen. I'll talk about this more in the post tomorrow but the only thing I don't love is the black countertops. They look good but are REALLY hard to keep clean. they show everything! The cabinets, drawers and pantry are working great!

omgosh yes!! I wish we had photos of that.

we are really pleased with the ikea kitchen and bathroom. no issues at all after two years of use. I like how easy the bathrooms are to clean, it's so smooth... no edges or bumps for grime to build up in. :)
