Perhaps Perez turned 18 while in custody? What I would like to know is why he was unsuccessful in receiving medical attention???? Apparently, he had a problem or he wouldn't be dead now. Why wasn't he taken to a medical facility for treatment? Sure would like the answer to those questions.
CFO Jeff Atwater won't pay for funeral for teen who died in detention
Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater is refusing to pay the funeral expenses for a teenager who died in state custody after unsuccessfully seeking medical attention for several hours. Juvenile justice administrators had offered to pay up to $5,000 in funeral costs to bury 18-year-old Eri...
It is just hard for this Rep to believe that all of the supposedly conservative people in the party want to put this guy in the Senate. He has never paid his own way, has always obviously lived way beyond his means, and if it wasn't for his PAC's and campaign money, he would probably have to file bankruptcy to dig himself out of the hole he is in. And with almost 1 million in debt, he will never be able to afford to live part-time in DC and support his lifestyle in Miami. Get a clue people. Someone else will be paying his bills again. He has already paid family members and school tuition out of his current campaign account. The IRS needs to go ahead and file their charges right now for Income Tax Evasion so he doesn't have to be removed later if he is elected.
Rubio: Personal expenses on GOP card 'would pop up from month to month'
In a meeting with the Miami Herald editorial board on Monday (see video excerpts below), Republican U.S. Senate candidate Marco Rubio called $10,000 in hotel charges for a family reunion billed to a Republican Party of Florida credit card a "major mistake." Rubio's rather tortured explanation ba...
Well, I hate to disillusion Thrasher, but we don't need to be protected from ourselves. This will not be a vote of emotionalism, the vote is 4 mths away. We have the right to decide; not kindergarten 101!
Thrasher denies 'quid pro quo' in blocking a vote on oil amendment
With word that that the GOP-led legislature is going to prevent a vote on Gov. Charlie Crist's proposal to put an amendment to ban oil drilling on the November ballot, rumors are swirling and accusations hurling that there might be a tidy reward in the fall to RPOF coffers from the oil industry....
There is nothing more Republican that the Chamber and if they are publishing these numbers, just tells you, that many mainstream Republican's plan on voting for Crist!!!! Not the crook!!!!
Chamber poll: gov race tightening, Crist still with wide lead
The Florida Chamber just released an interesting poll. The pro-business group that has long supported Attorney General Bill McCollum and other Republicans showed close races for both the GOP gubernatorial primary and the general election match up. According to the poll, Rick Scott leads McCollum...
Sounds like this thread is degenerating! But just for the record, no registered Dem speaking here. Happen to be a registered Rep very tired of the Ultras that are ruining what use to be a good party and there are many more of us than you think that will be supporting Crist - not the crook Rubio. Who do you think taught Samson all the ropes?
Marco Rubio faces foreclosure
Palm Beach Post: Republican U.S. Senate candidate Marco Rubio is facing foreclosure on a Tallahassee house after missing five months of mortgage payments, according to a lawsuit filed in Leon County Circuit Court. But Rubio's campaign spokesman said Rubio and David Rivera, a U.S. House candidate ...
buzzard and drazzub: am sure she brought something to the table, but have seen his published tax returns over the years and he can afford to pay his own way to Europe. Of course, Jeb's puppet won't publish his because his accountant's are too busy filing amended returns to try and keep him out of trouble!

To just another day in Florida: Crist has never owned a home because I'm sure didn't want to worry about upkeep on a home you are only in part-time. Makes more sense to rent. But he has lived within his means and guess what? didn't use a party card to charge his expenses.

I have said from the beginning that he had to be in financial trouble once he lost his party card to help pay his bills and with Federal scrutiny he can no longer use money from the PAC's he created to support House candidates. And this is the person some people want to send to the Senate to be the guardian of our tax dollars? How ludicrous.Only in his 30's and over a million in debt! Maybe the ultra conservatives from out of state that are raising all of his money like Jim Demint from SC can adopt him and let him run there because I don't believe he will win in Florida! Stay tuned for the continuing story of Rubio's finances. Wouldn't surprise me to see charges filed and now GOP is doing their best to keep Ray Samson's trial from happening til after the election because Rubio will have to testify. They are hoping Samson will accept some sort of plea deal which I hope is never offered. Let the truth be told!

fusion is exactly correct - Congress needs to pass E-Verify and we need to make the fine for any employer - large or small so large that they couldn't afford to pay it - I have no problem with immigrants, but they need to send them back and let them enter legally - after Americans have jobs!
Bill McCollum changes opinion after Rick Scott voices support for Arizona law
If you have any doubt about how concerned Bill McCollum is about GOP primary rival Rick Scott, just look at his release today announcing that he supports Florida enacting a hard line immigration law much like Arizona's. A couple weeks ago McCollum called it a "far out" law unsuitable for Florida...
