Autumn is my favorite time of year, even if in CA it still feels like summer! Now, I'm not a big Halloween person, but I do love pumpkins, and cats, and crows, so I decided I'd do an art journal page about that and I used this week's Gelatos® color... Continue reading

These fall earrings were really fun to make and I love how they turned out. Often times larger earrings are heavy, but because I paper-mached these they are really light and easy to wear. To start off with, I used my ScanNCut to cut out this shape out of a... Continue reading

This week we are using the Gelatos® color of the week: Banana. It has a great tone to it that really sets it apart from other yellows. For this art journal page I used the Gelatos Mist Maker to make my own Banana Gelatos mist! I took about 1/4" of... Continue reading

This week's Gelatos® color is Red Cherry and I thought it would be really fun to use that in an autumn project. I got started on it by decoupaging a canvas panel with a music sheet and Gel Medium. I then applied Red Cherry and Blood Orange Gelatos to it... Continue reading

These fall earrings were really fun to make and I love how they turned out. Often times larger earrings are heavy, but because I chose to create them with paper-mache, they are really light, easy to wear, and feature a great fall Gelatos® color: Cinnamon! To begin, I used my... Continue reading

Yay, fall is just about here and I'm excited to welcome in the cooler weather of my favorite time of year. Autumn always reminds me of comfort and so when I was trying to think of a project to create that symbolizes all those warm, fuzzy, comfy things, I thought what could be better represent that then a wool felt applique project!... You are awesome! Sometimes you just need that reminder or want to share it with someone else so I made this little 4" x 6" piece of art so that I could stick it in our guest room. I love how it turned out and how it's almost magic how the highlighting of the flowers happens with this technique! Here's how I created it... Continue reading

For this piece I started off by sketching out my word art and then erasing it a bit so I could trace over it using a PITT® Artist Pen with a fine nib. I made sure to let the pen work dry completely before erasing any visible pencil marks so... Continue reading

Confession time. We moved into our current home about 2 years ago and I've been so busy since then that I haven't really began to decorate until recently. (To make matters worse, I actually just unpacked a box that had been sitting in my office this whole time too, LOL!) In our family room we have a bunch of family photos up on the wall mixed with a few small pieces of artwork, but we had a little spot still left open that had been driving me nuts this whole time so I decided it was time to finally make something that would go there... It's that time of year again for us in the USA to dust off our patriotic decor for the upcoming summer patriotic holidays to pay tribute to those who have sacrificed to give us the freedoms we have and then to celebrate our independence. How's your decor holding up? Do you need to replace some of it? Here are a few various patriotic projects you can quickly whip up using craft vinyl and your ScanNCut... Continue reading
