You were right to reprint this. You are such an eloquent writer, but I don't know how you could surpass the emotion that pervades this entire piece. When you said that you realized that Stand By Me is one of those movies that only comes along once in a generation that also applies to writing about your feelings that day. You could never recreate them without making them hallow. Thank you so much for sharing something so special to you. You moved me to tears.
I was twelve going on thirteen when I made the movie that changed my life
Twenty-five years ago today, on my future wife's 17th birthday, a movie I did called Stand By Me was released. I didn't know it at the time, but it would define my childhood and change my life. Here are a few things I wanted to share, to mark the occasion. I talked to NPR last week about Stand B...
I was so sad that Eureka was moved to Mondays because that is the night I have class. Luckily last night was the beginning of a month-long break for me so I got to watch the episode as it aired! You should see me try to explain all the cool people on Eureka last night to people who have no idea. Btw, my mom has always been a huge fan of Star Trek: TNG and when I told her that you are Wesley Crusher she replied, "If he shaved the beard he'd still have a cute baby face."
EUREKA: Glimpse

I just want to say how incredible it is that you actually comment back to people. It's nice to see that the you continue the conversation so people know that their comments aren't ignored. Whether or not you comment to a person at least they know that what they had to say mattered to you.
On the meeting of Nathan Fillion (or: The Obligatory Comicon Post)
Comicon was awesome. The Eureka panel was funny and everyone in the audience seemed to enjoy themselves. The consensus from the cast and producers was that I did a good job moderating, and I felt like I managed to get out the talking points the network wanted me to get out under pain of death wi...
