With wood, I would worry about heat as well as some smoke. Just a thought...

Our fireplace is gas. It is actually unfinished. With a 16 month old running around, we are in no rush to finish it :)

Thank you! The ottoman is from Joss and Main. It is the Noah Tufted I believe. I first saw it on Young House Love and knew I had to have it. The top is hinged and the inside is all storage. It's huge and deep! I have it filled with baskets from Home Goods to hold our daughters toys. The outside is padded from top to bottom. Which has been great because our 16 month old has bounced off every section of it with either her head or her butt. Hasn't cried yet :)

Cheryl, I use Extensis Suitcase Fusion to load and control all of my fonts. Not sure if you are Mac of PC, but you might start there. Very easy. Hope that helps. http://www.extensis.com/suitcase-fusion-4/whats-new/

We LOVE our AngelCare monitor. It has a sensor pad for under her mattress that registers movement and breathing. No movement for 20 seconds sends out a loud alarm on the handhelds. There is also an icon on the handhelds that shows the movement. You can make this audible if you would like. We have ours muted though. The ticking was keeping me awake :) These definitely helped us sleep much better when we moved her out of our room. Great price. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely buy again. (Our alarm did go off a couple of times. Gave me a heart attack! Little G has always been a mover while she sleeps and she would roll too far away from the sensor. Better safe than sorry though. We would just move her back to the center of the mattress. Reset the monitor. Back to bed for everyone!)

My favorite thing to do with a book...crack the spine. I love being in the middle and bending the book backwards and it makes that crease down the spine. It is also how I can tell if I have read a book or not. No crease, never been read! xo

Ahh a kindred spirit :) Thanks for your comment! I can relate to all of it. I gave up working during her nap time because I noticed I was getting angry at her for not sleeping as long as I wanted her to sleep! How crazy is that?! The second I let working during the day go, the stress went away. Now the day is hers and the nights are mine. Has been working well so far. Smelly cat...great alternative. Maybe I will rotate that one in :)
