You are all wrong. Government should get out of the marriage business. When I got married, I made a commitment between myself, my wife and God. It has nothing to do with the state of Kansas and as such, they should stay the hell out of it.

This is insane. I am sure that his doctor hasn't read every piece of literature about every study, every treatment and every prognosis of this disease. When do we decide that we are smart enough.
Perhaps you don't understand every aspect of economics and finances but desire to retire some day; so some educated guy should be able to take control of your money.
You probably don't understand the ins and outs of every part of your house yet you desire it to last as long as possible; some contractor should be able to decide what you do and when.
You probably don't know what each squeak or rattle on your car means yet you want it to keep running; I guess a mechanic can tell you what needs to be repaired and you have no choice.
No one can be fully informed about every choice they have to make, the key is to let people choose and face the consequences. I hope that the next time this judge wants to make a decision, someone tells him it isn't his to make.
