One of many options is forming a corporation: United Taxi Drivers of Tampa, for example. The corporation, as you probably are aware, is an entity under law. And, in the opinion of many, including myself, has power beyond the individual and falls under corporation law. When the cab company or the HCTC, they are dealing with the corporation not the individual; a single person has no power unless he has assets to back him up on any adventure he might undertake. Affording health insurance and other necessitous, I think, becomes much more feasible. And, Tim, since this would be your project, you, consequently, would become CEO. If everything works out, you could even go public and sell shares. Just a thought!
One other thing: I would replace those books you are reading, with the subject of economics or the how wealthy individuals made their money. (Hint: they hoarded their money and when an opportunity just by chance came along, they gambled and invested)
Cab driver gets sick at airport
