Glad to be in campus today and see the Bama game being played in GC. Good stuff. Why FIU doesnt host watch parties at the stadium I will never know! I get concerned about the play calling sometimes. It seems we keep sticking to the same 2 or 3 plays and we need to switch it up a lot more and keep throwing the ball if our runs keep getting stuffed.

RutgerDan, College football is very unique in the fact that anybody can beat anybody, in any given day. True we haven't won any SunBelt conference titles, yet; but then again we have only been in Division 1-A for about 4 years. Rutgers has been playing football for 139 years and has gone to a total of 5 bowl games and lost 2 out of 5, which is sad. How many Big East titles does Rutgers have? Hmm, 0. Miami has 7. The entire country knows South Florida is where the best athletes are grown. FIU will continue to grow and will be winning a SunBelt title long before 139 years.

I'll be watching this game at home with a couple of friends. Max 4 people. I like it to be quiet and actually enjoy the game. I'am hooking up my laptop to my big flat screen TV and watching it on my big screen like I did last season. Gotta love ESPN360.com!! Man, someone hanging in there with Bama would bring so much reputation to FIU. I would love to hang a good 14 or 17 points on that Bama defense. LETS GO PANTHERS!!! Saturday at 7 can't come soon enough!!!!!

Pete, the guys at North Texas were using Cover it Live (http://www.coveritlive.com) to cover their amazing win over the 2008 undefeated Ball State team. Its a live chat that would be awesome if you used to talk to us during the away games if you are sent to any. It would be much nicer and faster than just posting to the blog. Just a thought.

16 days... Cant wait. By the way... where can FIU fans go to see this game? Will the Sports Grill on Bird Road be ready? Also, just in case anyone is out of the area, the game will be shown for free on ESPN360.com.

Went down to the Alumni preview tonight. It was great. Packed house, a lot of great energy. Cristobal, TY Hilton, Gaitor and Paul McCall were there along with all the coaches. Food was good. The tour of the field house was great as well. Cristobal got the crowd pumped by showing clips of their practice and some nice hits on a projector. The fieldhouse is huge. Looks empty even though they moved all their weight room equipment in there. The tour also took us to the patio overlooking the field which is amazing. I would love to be there watching a game. If recruits go there and see the stadium packed to capacity, they will want to play for FIU big time. Overall, it was an amazing turnout and was great to see so many people out there. Great way to start the season. I really wish FIU would host watch parties in the Stadium Club. It is an amazing place to watch games as the whole place is surrounded by TVs.
