I was cleaning my bathroom this morning when I noticed some new wording on the toilet bowl cleaner packaging. It now says it "Kills flu virus." I found this curious since I'm sure bleach kills a lot of things and this particular cleaner has probably been killing them for years now. Of course, the goal is to increase sales through general fear of bird/swine flu. Pointing it out helps the you tap into that fear. I always find this practice a bit irritating because it assumes that you, the consumer, are an idiot and can be scared/cajoled into buying anything....
