Good post David.
I talk to a lot of folks that want to use social media marketing to grow their business but they don't know what to focus on. They are on Facebook and maybe Twitter but don't see much of a direct correlation between that activity and sales so they do it half heartily or not at all.
Your point about taking action and getting it as you go along is a solid idea.

Good post David. What I find is that most people are followers and terrified of criticism and the stigma of failure. As soon as something is proven they are there but until the road is clearly mapped out they wait in the wings.
We live in a culture of fear and worry rather than the entrepreneurship that is required.
