Hi Julie, Thanks for sharing your article with me... I read it and respect what you had to say. It made me wonder if the sketch artist gave a 'tilt' to each drawing and I see your point that it's an ad to the benefit of Dove. I like advertising and while this is strategic, at least it's positive and has a takeaway for the viewer, even if they don't use Dove. The main message still speaks to me and I think that many woman do describe themselves with their interpretation of what they see in the mirror, whereas strangers will see us without that filter and point out good things we don't even know or think others notice. Thanks for your comment and compliment. You are beautiful and I like the way you think outside of the average view and don't think of fat as 'something that shouldn't be there', but instead as a part of us that is acceptable. Because this is not the way my body has always been and not how I prefer to look, I often think of the chin or other areas as something that's new, temporary and not welcome to stay. I guess I don't want to accept it and I treat it like an enemy instead of part of me just like the rest. You got me thinking, thanks :)
