Antisemitism???!!!!???? Don't be ridiculous! We have two camps on Coopers Corners. The one on the corner which is now closed and one down the street from us a couple of hundred feet. We happen to like our Hasidic summer residents. They are polite. They are friendly, contrary to popular belief around here. many times while working in the garden in front of the house the people walking by on their daily walks have commented on the garden and once even a mother and her adorable teeny children (all 9 of them) stopped to admire the flowers. I said hello and we started talking. We ended up on our island in our enormous pond on our property where I gave the kids dry dog food with which to feed the fish. They were thrilled and OH SO POLITE!! There is no hatred or bigotry here, other than towards the cretins who allowed the corner camp to be in such horrific conditions and then allowed children to live their! Those people need to be tarred and feathered and run out of town!

Finally something is being done about this dump of a camp! I can't believe that those poor children are forced to spend their summers in that dump! We live on Coopers Corners Rd and have to pass the camp every day on the way to the bus station in the mornings and evenings. The stench of putrefying raw sewage which emanates from that camp at dawn and dusk is enough to make one gag and want to vomit every time! For a couple of years now we've been complaining to the town about the stench and the response we always received was that they had some sort of open air evaporation leaching field sewage system and that is why it smelled! I don't give a darn what the reason is - the smell could not possibly have been a healthy thing for those kids to be exposed to! Well, I don't know what exactly made the town finally take action, but I sure am very happy about it!
