Note: I am not as angry as the all caps message I wrote makes it appear
We're giving away 5 Larry Bird t-shirts
Thanks to the generous folks at The Forest Lab, we have 5 Larry Bird t-shirts to give away today. The first 5 correct responses - submitted in the comments section of this blog post - get a free t-shirt. Question: With 26 points and 11 rebounds last night, Kevin Garnett put up his 9th 20/10 ga...
Man, I'm across the ocean far, far away from all this and I'm green with envy. I hope all the guys who get this close to the banner really savor the moment.
Banner 17 comes to Children's Hospital
When I found out yesterday that Banner 17 was coming to my place of employment, I was thrilled. With the NCAA tourney in town, the TD Garden relocated the Boston Celtics' & Boston Bruins' championship banners temporarily. As part of the move, via their Facebook page. and Twitter account, TD Ga...
Thanks for the good words, guys. It's what motivates me to make more and better mixes. :)
I want to make a shoutout to KWAPT though, thanks for putting my video here! Much love.
Photo Gallery: Celtics-Nuggets
I've got a three-course meal of media for you today; First, a sweet new video of 2011-12 Celtics highlights from GeeZee. Then, some pics of last night's contest vs the Nuggets. And for dessert, a few tasty GIFS. Enjoy... pics via HoopChina & tha...
I don't quite get why you had to point out so many things as mistakes leading up to keeping the Big 4 together this season. Resigning Ray and Pierce totally made sense; we were playing very good basketball until injuries dented our plans in 2010-11, most notably Rajon's elbow in the playoffs. It may have been what truly doomed us in the playoffs. Well, this year obviously we are not playing great basketball, but I think we have the potential to be substantially better.
All that is for naught, however, because riding this season out in itself is no mistake. The cap situation Danny has set us up is very good. That's why I don't see having to keep the four together as a mistake or anything bad.
Schwan: Danny only has one option at the trade deadline
Danny Ainge has one option as the trade deadline is only three days away. He must hold onto the Big 4, and it’s not because these guys will lead the Celtics to an NBA championship. Ainge has made several mistakes that leave him no choice but to finish out the season with the Big 3 plus Rondo. Si...
All day every day and twice on Sundays. JO for Beasley is a steal no matter how you cut it. JO is a staunch defender, yes, but B-Easy can make up for all of that on the offensive end. That being said, it's worth it if the veterans can screw his head back on. Even then, I think JO doesn't have a lot to offer left. If you have the chance, pull the trigger.
Report: Boston is Beasley's most likely landing spot
Fox's Sam Amico has this report on the Wolves efforts to trade forward Michael Beasley: According to multiple FOX Sports Ohio sources, the Wolves have already spoken with New Jersey, Houston and the L.A. Lakers about Beasley. While both teams are said to still be open to a deal, it appears Beasl...
Aw man, I'd love to catch it but 9 pm just doesn't work.
Catch "Kwapt's Kicks" tomorrow on GangGreen
Tomorrow night on Gang Green, I'll be unveiling my latest pick-up; a pair of the Anta "KGII". The KG model is only available in China, and is Kevin Garnett's signature shoe. This will be the first segment of a new feature on GangGreen called "Kwapt's kicks." Each week, I'll highlight a cool pair...
Kevin was better on defense, however.
Recap: Jermaine O'Neal leads Cs over Pistons (I'm not kidding)
Jermaine O'Neal awoke from his three game slumber and led the Celtics to a 96-85 victory over the Detroit Pistons. O'Neal scored 19 points on 7-9 shooting. He added 7 rebounds. He was a +25. All team highs on the night. Paul Pierce debuted with 12 points, 5 assists in 23 minutes. He appeared v...
Man, how much I would be willing to give just to see a game, let alone 'bump' into KG or Pierce, or anyone from the Celtics for that matter... lol
RedsArmy presents FanFriday #19 "Family Affair"
Fan Friday is back folks! I want to thank all the readers for the great feedback and support. Fan Friday has become a popular feature, and I get many emails, tweets and messages on it. I know this is a tough-time for C's fans with the team off to a rough start, but hopefully the season's first...
Well, maybe Quisy and Jermaine can hold up better than previously - at least Daniels. He had problems stemming from that situation with his spine. Now that it's fixed, maybe he can hold up?
As for Jermaine, his knee is fixed now. It had been bothering him for a while too, but he opted to take the surgery. So there's hope he can survive as well.
Of course, we will need luck this year regarding health. But hey, it's possible that both guys play the 85%.
Your Morning Dump... Where Posey, Thornton and Stevenson are remote options to replace Green
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. And the market, as one NBA executive told CSNNE.com on Saturday, is "extremely thin." With only the veteran's minimum to offer...
I truly think Green will get his stuff figured out. He's not crazy like Nate the Fastbreak Triples Bomber. I think we should keep him, even if it means going a bit above the qualifying offer. But not too much -- we need to maintain cap flexibility.
Your Morning Dump... Jeff Green felt like an outsider
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “They’ve been together for a number of years,” Green said of the Celtics. “They’ve already won a championship, they’ve alrea...
This is Red's Army. You are forgiven silly stuff.
F*** a lockout, we'll just go planking
The lockout is here, but we're not gonna let it hold us down. We're still going to have fun somehow. So every so often we're gonna say F**k a lockout... and still keep on keepin' on. Dwight Howard and Gilbert Arenas are on a planking binge (if you don't know what planking is, congratulations,...
Looking at that KG defense video, notice who runs out on the court after the timeout is called. It's D-West, Jermaine and Green with Nenad and Wafer coming along a bit more timidly. Jermaine seems to be the most excited of all and West + Green are reasonably hyped too. Some were complaining about the bench being too bored -- so let go of Murphy, Pavlovic and Arroyo? Possibly Wafer too. I'd agree on that + keeping all the excited guys I named. Anyway, it's just a thing I noticed. Shows who is a comptetitor and winner at heart and who is not.
GreenLight Madness: Celtics Top 64 Plays: Round 2 (#4 Seed vs #36 Seed)
It's official: The NBA is in full lockout mode and it's likely to stay that way for quite some time. Will it be just the summer or will it last through the fall? Will we have a training camp? Pre-season? Will it return by Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas?!?! It's depressing to think about i...
Does he play there or is he just a guest dude there? It's important to me if you could tell me - I could possibly get his autograph if he plays...
Ray is ballin' in Paris
Ray Allen is hoopin' at Quai 54 in Paris. Quai 54 is an international street ball tournament sponsored by Michael Jordan. According to Jordan's twitter feed, Ray nailed a half-court shot on his first attempt. Check out the feed more pics of Ray.
Damn, I want those Rondo's pretty bad. Great shoe
Match-up 4: "Celtics Sneaker Madness"
Once again, Jordan Brand won the last match-up: Nate's Space Jams move on to round 2 after defeating Jeff Green's Nike ID Sharkleys. Final tally: 216 votes to 56 votes. Yeah, not even close. Thanks so much to everyone who's voting and I hope you'll continue on with us through the festivities! To...
For some reasson I never liked the Zigs. So it's Ray's XI by a blowout
Match-up 2: "Celtics Sneaker Madness"
I'd like to start-off by saying thank you for all the voting on match-up #1. We've had a great response to Sneaker Madness so far, and I hope you'll all continue participating. I'm sure it's no surprise to everyone that Ray Allen's Air Jordan XIII won in a landslide over Big Baby's Air Max Fly...
Gimme some Sheed while you're at it. ...Poor Sherrod Blakely.
Not even Danny thinks Shaq is done
It seems like Shaq's retirement announcement has been met with a resounding "yeah right". Woj doesn't think he's done... I sure as hell don't think so... and neither does Danny Ainge. Ainge was asked flatly if he is convinced Shaq won’t again play in the league. “Oh, I don’t know,” he said. ...
Wow... such a great piece! Mad respect to you and of course Scott! That's being dedicated beyond imaginable...
RedsArmy presents FanFriday #18: "Season Finale-OG"
What more fitting way to end the 1st season of "FanFriday" then with a true OG. Scott S has been a Boston Celtics fan all his life. Born and raised on the South Shore of Boston, his Dad's company had season-tickets in the first-row behind the C's bench, so Scott has seen it all. When his Dad r...
Tell you what, we should keep him. If we could sign a Battier type of dude, we could let Green split his minutes at the 3 and 4, giving him enough time to find his groove. I think he has the potential. I say hold on.
What do we do with Jeff Green?
Photo by Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images He was the centerpiece of "the trade". He was the supposed best player in the deal... the guy that made it OK to part with Perk, risk team chemistry, and rely on the O'Neals to get us through at center. Except Jeff Green's arrival in Boston was anything but ...
Think he'd fit?
Taking Stock: C's - Heat Game 4
After each game, we'll be taking stock in each players... and maybe coach's... performance. If we like what we see, we're buyin'. If we don't, we're sellin'. Or maybe we'll just hold onto our stock until we see more next game Rajon Rondo: This is just one tough kid. He didn't have a gre...
Can't say that the O'Neal signings were wasteful. Shaq helped a lot in the reg. season to begin, Jermaine has been doing work in the playoffs. Too bad they never got to play well together.

GeeZeeCeltics is now following John
May 6, 2011
While I'm in the spotlight for a minute, I'd just like to say the following...
Each and every fan of the Celtics who can go to the game HAS to leave his/her lungs out there. There is nowhere to back down for the Celtics or for us. So leave it all out there. If you have enough faith, this team will pull it out.
You can be sure I'll be up at 3 AM, no matter what day it is.
Remember, we ain't dead yet, motherf*ckers.
--Of course, big ups to my man KWAPT for this article!
RedsArmy presents FanFriday #17: "The Latvian Connection"
GeeZee and Asijs are two young Celtics fans from Riga, Latvia. Latvia is located smack-dab between Lithuania, Estonia and Russia. Because of the time difference, these 2 members of CelticNation are usually forced to be awake at 3am to watch the Celtics play. We've had many interesting discus...
Great Fan Friday to read.
RedsArmy presents FanFriday #16: "North of the Border"
With the playoffs in high-gear, this is an exciting and busy time for Celtics fans. I apologize for not offering a "FanFriday" last week. I'll do my best to keep this feature going throughout the playoffs as the C's chase Banner18. This week, I'm going to feature a couple of fans I've met throug...
I, too, find myself shouting ferocious STOPZZZZZ at my screen. My friend even tried teaching his little sister the legendary STOPZZZ.
Happy birthday once more, KWAPT!
Our Birthday present to KWAPT: His own shirt
If you follow KWAPT on Twitter, you know that when the C's need to get a stop... he's always there with a cry of "STOPZZZ!!" It's become a trademark of sorts for him. Click on the picture if you want that shirt... or go to our store. The STOPZZZ shirts are in this section... or go to the st...
Could he be called a star though? Well, not that Al is really a star, it's just that Pierce s*it on him
Anonymous player calls KG a punk, coward
The KG hate continues. Check out this nugget from ESPN's Player X blog (courtesy ESPN Boston): Garnett is a punk and a coward. I know, I know. Easy for me to say behind this column. Don't worry, I'll tell him to his face, too. And I'm not the only one who thinks that: If you're not on his team, ...
