Yep, just a regular needle! You might slow the speed down a bit if you're nervous, but I've never had a problem. You can sew through wood veneer, too. =)

i think it would be worth a try if you're willing to sacrifice a page protector if it doesn't work out. ;) i'd use as little glue as possible, and make sure the confetti is all pushed to the other side until it dries. i also like using washi to seal off a page protector, but it doesn't work well with this style since it closes down the middle. it's awesome if it closes on top! kelly noel also has a great tutorial over at SC sharing some new sew confetti pocket ideas - maybe one of these would work? http://www.studiocalico.com/blog/2014/4/15/confetti-pockets-tutorial-kelly-noel i'd love to hear what you end up doing!

hi monica! i lightly drew out the shape of a half sun, and then wrote the letters to fit inside. i'm thinking i'll do a similar wall this year (but haven't done it yet) - i'll try and take some process pics and post them!

Thanks Nicole! It's an app called "Daily Weather." I love the design of it - so much cuter than other weather apps.

I have to admit those ears make me smile every time I walk into his room - I'm glad to have a shot of it in my album!

Marina - since they are 4x4, they are not as wide as the Handbook pages. They make a fun overlay or insert in a Handbook. I hope that helps! Lisa Truesdell

YES!! I love podcasts for when I'm working on things that don't require a ton of mental attention. Or cranking up the music when it's just too quiet!

my full sized LOs (i've done some 8.5x11 and 12x12) will go into a regular album. i want to keep the handbook album small so it's easy to flip through!

We had actually tentatively scheduled going there on our last trip and changed our plans - but it's definitely something to think about! Thanks for the reminder!

that is awesome that you read them together as they came out - like you said, totally a unique time. and an amazing one!!! i am working on a handbook of your trip, but now that you mention it i think it's an awesome idea to record this side of the story as well. hmmm... i'm not sure how, but it's now on my list!

Sam has seen all but the end of the last one (he fell asleep on me in the middle of it, but he was at the start of having pneumonia so it was that and not the movie!). He's never had bad dreams from movies, but I've found that as the baby of the family, he has experienced much more and been afraid of much less than his big brothers were at the same age. He seems older at 6 than they did!

It's pretty cool to watch your kids experience it for the first time, isn't it?

They have done such a good job with it. We've been watching the Diagon Alley construction and it looks like it will be just as amazing!

Sam was 6 when we went - it was definitely nice to have all of them old enough to do all that walking and deal with being awake so late!

We let Sam watch the early movies when he was Fox's age.. 1 & 2 aren't too scary. After that we'd put him to bed before the really scary stuff started happening and then watch the rest of the movie. Since they all follow a fairly similar arc that was easy. ;)

Thanks! =) I googled "hover pin it button typepad" and followed some directions that I found. The directions had an image in it so I just replaced it with my own. I'll email you!
