I'm never sure when a dream is or isn't a dream, so I record them all somewhere and check back later. With me, my dreams run about 75% not-dreams.

I'm so sorry. No matter what you do to prepare, you're never prepared. We are here for you.

If you can fake it there, you'll fake it anywhere. If you can't, you can tell them you're practicing saying what people want to hear because you might want to run for office someday.

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Wheaton. Go out of your way to have cupcakes, if at all feasible.

Hope someone brought the beauty queen a sandwich and a piece of watermelon. She looks like she'd blow away if the crown wasn't weighing her down.

It's sort of like being named "Nick" in a Stephen King story.

Great story, told very well. (And, yes, he's awful cute.)

Speaking as someone who can't hold onto a teaspoon without dropping it, I am hella impressed.

At least you didn't have to pay full admission for all those horrible deaths.

I liked the mash-upping, actually - thought it was done well and sounded good on a creative level. I agree that it's probably better with visuals. Overall on the album, I think I might prefer Morse/Portnoy/George's Cover to Cover version of Harrison's "What is Life" than anything on the Love cd, but they (MPG) also did other good covers on there, so I am pretty biased overall.

"Shatner" is just the past tense of "shit."

Whenever I have friends with small kids over for the holidays, I put up stockings for them which I then load up with old-fashioned penny candy, joy buzzers, kazoos, and whoopie cushions. My friends love me.

"Tillamook?" "Er, no." "Ah, how about Cheddar?" "Well, we don't get much call for it around here, sir." "Well, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to shoot you." "Righto, sir." (gunshot) "What a senseless waste of human life." "

I never really felt your original essay was entirely about your respective beliefs, but how you and your dad felt about your mutual reactions to each other's opinions. I still feel that. And I feel even more strongly how good it is that you and he have such good communication with each other that you were able to discuss it and get your feelings on the incident out in the open even without swaying the other person to your side of the argument. This is rare and wondrous.
