Jorge Sedano just lost any credibility he may have had. He just said on his show that a manager can only cost a baseball team about six games in an entire season, and therefore a basketball coach can only lose you around three games. Are these clowns for real? Riley must have ALL local sports media under his payroll, 'cause they don't have any journalistic balls to call Heat management out..
Forgive me if I'm repeating anybody's sentiments (I haven't been here as much lately), but it is getting ridiculous how nobody in the local media is willing to openly criticize Riley for his many GM mistakes over the last few years, as well as the dumb-downed roster he's put together along with a moron for a coach. Or how about calling out Arison for being a cheap ass owner? The Heat brass has put out a product that is difficult to watch, especially when the coach shows favoritism towards some and refuses to play the best players. The Heat's preferential treatment towards Chalmers, Haslem, and Richardson is preventing this team from at least being watchable. Arroyo, Beasley, Magloire, and Wright should be playing sizable roles, as they are clearly more talented than the scrubs who steal their minutes.

http://chronicle.augusta.com/stories/2010/01/19/nba_563760.shtml An ALL WHITE basketball league? LMAO!!!! We should trade Mario Charmin to the Augusta Georgia White Sheets immediately!
Jordan is rolling over in his grave as we speak! Posted by: AJP | January 20, 2010 at 08:27 PM When did MJ die?
I mean, two straight years of his prime [Wade's] for a CHANCE at getting LeBron? So who's the real priority here? If the man just up & left for an organization that puts him 1st, you really can't blame him for it... Posted by: GodsSon521 | January 20, 2010 at 08:21 PM This
Lebron's coming lol The only reason I try to stay positive about 2010 is I can't stomach the alternative of multiple 20-30 win seasons on the horizon Posted by: The Watcher (The blog is more divided than team) | January 20, 2010 at 08:21 PM I hear you, man. I used to be a Riley fan, but he's left a feeling of disgust in my mouth lately.
The problem with the 2010 fantasy is that Wade will not sign until he sees improvement, but NOBODY will sign unless they know that Wade is committed to staying here. By the time we stop playing the chicken/egg game, LeBron/Joe Johnson/Amare may be gone. Riley will have to settle for making trades at that point anyways - might as well pick someone's pocket now and make a trade before Feb. 18th. Sell the PROMISE of LeBron to some other sucker GM.
im so tired of watching this team but it's hard not to cuz i want to see them succeed but so far its up and down. im also annoyed by all the trade scenarios ppl keep suggesting because ppl keep doin that but nothin is happening. riley needs to do sumthin now! i cant wait until summer 2010 4 the possibility of lebron to come wat if he doesnt come then wat? Posted by: ivory | January 20, 2010 at 08:14 PM Then you hope for Joe Johnson, Felton, and Haywood/Camby.
This was phucking obvious since the summer. How anybody thought that we could challenge for the 4th seed is beyond me. Riley has surrounded Wade with absolute garbage for a CHANCE at LeBron. There could've been relatively cheap options to upgrade our roster this year and make it somewhat enjoyable to watch w/o affecting the 2010 fantasy. There could even be internal changes made NOW, with our current roster, that just make too much sense for Sporon to pull off.
Does anyone else have dishnetwork? If so, could you by kind enough to tell me what alternate channel the game is on? Posted by: Jolano13 | January 20, 2010 at 07:44 PM 474
the announcers jus asked where is beas? wow how stupid our coach is! Posted by: ivory | January 20, 2010 at 07:38 PM You don't need to generate your own offense to win, just play gritty defense and live off of fast-break points and free throws---Erik Sporon school of thought.
I'm sorry, but the Bobcats are clearly a better TEAM than Miami. Charlotte is taking over the 5th seed tonight - for good. The jury's still out, but Toronto may even be better than Miami at this point. As I said in the summer, the Heat are a 7th seed team. Thank Riley!
Chris I thought you were smarter than this. We all know we have the 3rd best pf in the east, its just that hes an impending free agent. Why would we uncage Haslem and have him outprice himself next year? Thats just silly. Caged Boozers dont come cheap you know. Its not like some 20 ppg scrorer at pf is gonna just fall into our laps and we can let Haslem walk. Get real. Posted by: kbboy80 | January 18, 2010 at 08:52 PM LMAO
I wish everyone would skip all his posts. Posted by: Heat-Struck | January 18, 2010 at 07:07 PM I have been faithful for a few weeks now.
One more quick thing before I go, Bobcats up by 19 at halftime. It'll be a three-way tie for the 5th seed in 1.5 hours. Actually, Charlotte will be ahead of us 'cause they own the tiebreaker. Good day.
Nice to finally see Ira consistently calling out the Heat's brass for their cheap, personnel-depleting ways, as well as the inexplicable treatment of Beasley. Now, if Ira was somehow able to grow some hair on those new-found balls of his, and call for a Haslem trade in order to fully open the next PF chapter for this franchise, I'll call Ira my new hero. That is all, thank you very much, and good day.
Yankees aren't playing tonight. Posted by: Chris | January 17, 2010 at 03:13 PM Haha, well done. Screw the cowboys, btw.
Wow, America's Team is also getting spanked. What's up with that?
Toronto SPANKING Dallas
Raptors still up by 14 with 8 min to go in the game. Bobcats will beat Kings tomorrow. Heat/Bobcats/Raptors tied for 5th seed by tomorrow night. Great season Riley!
You're right Chris, by 1/1000th of a percentage point.
Toronto beating Dallas by 14 in the 3rd quarter...6th seed here we come!
williams, ...never mind.
But isn't next years draft really weak, besides Wall?? Thats what ive heard, do u know? Posted by: Ohshz | January 17, 2010 at 11:54 AM I don't follow college ball, but a Memphis-special 1st rounder (high pick) is worth it no matter what.
