Ashes and diamonds, foe and friend We [are] all equal in the end... Sorry for your loss, Wil. These creatures sure do worm their way into our hearts, don't they? I like to play the cool, big man - saying, you know, "they're just animals." But, I know, deep down inside, that when my Shadow goes, it's gonna be all flags at half mast in the Little houseshold. I've a wee dram beside me right now. Please allow me to raise a glass to Ferris. regards

My son and I combined our iTunes libraries completely. So, he gets to pick and choose from all of my 70s and 80s classic rock, and I get to sample his new Rise Against, Avenged Sevenfold, and Ill Scarlett albums.

Also, I'm in the Toronto area, so I've got reason to be depressed about hockey as well.

[channel="Don Cherry"]The instigation rule is ruining the game. In the past, the enforcers used to protect their star players. Today, because of the instigation rule, they can't. That's what is leading to so many high sticks and cheap shots. Let them play![/channel]

See, those of us who have been regular readers for some time saw that entry that later disappeared into the ether. And on behalf of all of us I say, "Roger, shut the fuck up."

Not that I've listened to a ton of authors read their own work, but that was by far the best I've ever heard. Very excellent job, I must say. Also, cool video work, amity1976.

Ah, yes...AOL. Let us wax poetical, and vitriolic about AOL. OK, good idea, let's not. Suffice it to say that there are thousands of former AOL bloggers who, for some reason or another, missed the announcement of AOL's "sunsetting" of their blogging platform, and lost blogs containing hundreds of entries representing years of creativity. Gone, into the ether, with a flip of a switch. Yes, we former AOLers would like to flip AOL something, that's for sure.

Sorry, Em. I couldn't get it to email to you, or to save the form with any of the data included. So I miss out on applying to date you. Probably for the best, you know, me being all married and everything. Don't want to be starting any trends, or anything.

I believe that is some advice that can be universally applied. Don't end up on COPS.

Come on! It's not Rickrolling if the fracking network announcers know it's going to happen ahead of time. I believe this marks the point at which Rickrolling officially jumps the shark. It will never be cool again.

Oh, and @ Exurban Mom, Ender's Game has been in "pre-production" for almost a decade. It is really dubious whether it will ever see the light of day.
