Tabletop has become 'must watch' viewing in our home and we've purchased Small World, two expansions and Tsuro in the past few weeks thanks to the show, all from our local game shop as a way of paying it forward. Keep up the great work and can't wait to find new games for us to play and share!
More from behind the scenes at Tabletop
In my gaming group, I am not the guy who is good at explaining rules (that guy would be Tom D., when he plays with us, or my friend Cal M., the rest of the time) so the part of Tabletop I was the most anxious about is that segment at the beginning of the show where I explain the rules of the gam...
Running errands this morning I was confronted with an almost non-stop barrage of reasons to hate our people. Coming home and reading this reminded me of why I don't. Well played Mysterious Domain Purchaser. :) And Hi to Wil and AwesomeRyan!
in which a good person is kind
My son Ryan was home from college all week for Spring Break, and I kept expecting him to grab one of my logged-into-Twitter devices to tell the world how awesome I think he is. (I pretend to get all mad, but I secretly love it when he does this.) Today, he went back to school, and I went out to ...
Mr. Wheaton was found guilty in LA Superior Court and sentenced to 3 years and is now a register Smurf offender.
merry smurfin' smurfmas, mothersmurfers
This is crying out for a caption. I'll choose my favorite, and send something neat* to whoever writes it. Submissions open throughout the weekend, one per person, and can only be left as comments here (it's too difficult to track on Twitter or via e-mail). *definition of 'neat' will be at my s...
Which is matched in awfulness only by WheatonIX ME.
Computerwelt
I've been reading a lot more than usual (which is saying something, because I really like to read) since I got home from Eureka. It wasn't until yesterday afternoon that I realized why I've wanted to do little more than work my way through the gigantic pile of Books I Want To Read* for the last ...
See I'd have thought you'd be running WilIX. I heard WheatonIX was responsible for some weird sub-routines involving chaotic rogue hacking, malware involving card games and bowling and an earlier version memory creep that would capture and torture other processes. (Tried to work in smarmy comic guy from Numb3rs but couldn't think of a workable metaphor.)

Loved the episode, thought you were excellent at the Evil. Of course, that raises the question... if you shave will that turn you into Good Wil Wheaton? Hmmmm...
The Wheaton Recurrence
It's Sunday afternoon as I write this. I can't publish this manually, because if I've read my call sheet correctly, I'm currently playing Dr. Isaac Parrish on Eureka. If we're on schedule, I'm working in a scene with Erica, Colin, and Neil. If my experience on the show so far is any indication, ...
Congrats on the gig Wil, was excited for you when the possibility was mentioned last season. Did you see Christian Kane break his head open with his stuntwork as noted on Rogers' blog yesterday afternoon? Just wondering... break a leg (not a head) and can't wait to see your appearance.
LEVERAGE: day one
Last night, I tried to convince my brain that it should shut the hell up and let me go to sleep early, because I had to wake up at 5am no matter what. It didn't cooperate. It sang songs to me, wrote little stories, and told me jokes until almost midnight. Yes, I am my brain's bitch. (Don't worry...
Confirming the above poster, I'm showing it as a 1:30 EST showing of 'Random Cartoons' with 'Kyle+Rosemary' as one of the segments.
Also, Wil is going to be portraying the Ted Kord Blue Beetle on Brave and the Bold next Friday at 8:30 EST.
you can finally watch Kyle + Rosemary this weekend! (Updated with correct time)
Years ago, I played the part of Kyle, in an absolutely wonderful animated short film called Kyle + Rosemary. It was supposed to air on Nickelodeon, but there was some sort of disturbance in the force, and the Zaldans never ran it. I finally got to see it last summer, and it was just as wonderful...
I just suddenly flashed on this following scene...
Loud Bitch: Well I paid seventy dollars!
Wil: I don't give a fuck! Do you know who the hell I am! I AM WIL MUTHAFUCKIN' WHEATON! DO YOU KNOW WHAT WIL MUTHAFUCKIN' WHEATON SEZ!?! DO YOU?!?!? WIL SEZ SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!
Wil (to Ryan): Pretend I didn't say that.
bring on the night . . . and the assholes
Anne and I took Ryan to see Elvis Costello and The Police at the Hollywood Bowl last night. We bought our tickets months ago, and got the best seats we could afford. We took the shuttle from the Zoo to the Bowl, and were in our seats about ten minutes before Elvis and The Impostors took to the s...

I think I'm the only person thus far to put in for a reading in South Carolina, but I'm working on converts! Maybe DragonCon could invite you?
announcement 5 of 4 (math is hard!)
According to Eventful, 84 people have joined a demand for me to come to San Diego. I usually come down for Comic-con, but with the eleventy billion people down there every year, it's not exactly the most intimate environment for a reading and signing. So I've been looking for a more reasonable v...

Congrats to the kid on college and to you on a great job with Cos' on LSH this morning!

neither heaven nor space
Hey bloggers: do you ever have a week where you just don't feel like writing anything? That's how I've felt all week long. A lot of neat stuff has happened in the last 168 hours, and I'm sure I could get great stories out of a lot of things, but other than real serious deadline work, and my resp...

That was the number one article I've read all morning. Really prime stuff.
you can count on me
Ryan and I sat in the car and waited for a break in traffic to make a left. "Do you have any plans for the weekend?" I said. "Yeah," he said, "I'm going to go see three hundred and twenty-three movies." I looked at him. "How are you going to see that many movies in one weekend?" A Wheaton mo...

That email was from me, sent a while back. The small town is Greenville, SC and the copies I have were both found in B&N, just found it sad that they were 'pigeon-holed' in Star Trek. As for why I'd buy them in a 'real' store instead of amazon or other online outlet, I'd just regaled my local bar crowd with the video of Wil's appearance at Gnomedex and was struck by a sudden case of 'instant gratification'. Nice to see Wil really does read fan-mail. :)
who knew they would be so hard to find?
E-mail from a WWdN:iX reader: Wil, I wanted to touch base with you about your books "Just A Geek" and "Dancing Barefoot" Who knew they would be so hard to find? Granted I don't live in the biggest town I still thought Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million would have them in stock. Turns out they bot...
