I've only discovered your blog recently, and was interested to read your review of High Wages. It is a lovely read and I go back to it often. I laughed when I saw your mention of elbows (plural). Funny how little things like that are often not noticed by an author. So natural to lean elbows on a gate, that the phrase is used without thinking.
