I did get the cut out dolls! I made them for Phoebe for Xmas. So cute. I got the canvas print and they turned out really well. This fabric line has inspired me to quilt after so long. Now if I can muster up courage to cut into it.

Yep, you need the button. My brain is slow this am without coffee but it's somehow the button that allows it to spin, the space it puts between the doll and the thread?? I know I'm not explaining that at all, but I suggest using the buttons.

look at the whole gang! so fun! I really want to do one of those big felt play scenes like she has in her second book. we are starting on players for an ocean scene and I just screwed up the mermaid's face so I'll have to try that trick.
