Lauren, this is really amazing. Knowing what was going on in that picture really puts a lot of things in perspective looking at all the other pics peppered on the blog of where you are now. Pushing through that 'what have i gotten myself into' feeling is so hard, but i agree with you...so key. the few times i've done it in my life, i've never regretted it. thanks SO much for sharing this.

I by no means think Philly is the only city that has it's big city issues. I DO think EVERY city has it's own special brand of crazy-making though. I've CERTAINLY been NYC'ed (God bless the citizens of that city). I've been Dallas'd (waiting in gridlock traffic to get a quart of milk because there's no place to do so in walking distance). All over the world, people are getting London'd and Paris'd and Tokyo'd. Such is life. But sometimes, it feels good to complain about it. Then realize you're being stupid and stop. I love Philly for all it's crazy making ways and am happy every day that I made the choice to move here.
