When you have a sentence that contains items you want to bullet, are you to use the colon midway in the sentence as in the example given by Barbara Shwom ?
Her Example:
Each child was seated at a separate station and given the following:
● an elephant
● a kangaroo
● a giraffe
She has a colon at the end of the first part of her senence and she did not use commas as you did, and no capital letter is used for each item of the list, and there is no period after giraffe. Is the way she posted her list correct or not?
Could you please re-do her example to show how it should look (colon, no colon, capital letters, no capital letters, commas, no commas, period, no period)the correct APA way for doing such a bulleted list as she has here?
Thank you,
Mary Hudgins
