But Mr. Ross, according to a number of people on this blog it shouldn't matter if Dansby wants 12 mil a year. Who cares if it's not good value, it's uncapped...
Stephen Ross: Money doesn't buy victories
With the uncapped year only days away, Dolphins fans can pretty much cast aside thoughts of their team breaking open the piggy bank as it dives into free agency. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross told me moments ago that, "yes," the Dolphins have set an internal budget for 2010 and although he didn't ...
The article is a couple of days old and it is still early on in the process but it's still a little disheartening to see that we may be heading for a lock-out in 2011.

And don't worry, I didn't GURGLE it. I leave that to the ladies. LOL
Another big news day ahead at Indy Combine
Most of the media left Indianapolis on Sunday and more will leave Monday morning. Dolphins In Depth is still in Indianapolis because the workouts continue and aspiring scout Chris Cordero is still looking to corner more general managers information. First off, if you missed the weekend here sham...
Give your boy Crosby credit Mark. He may have been pretty bad through most of the games but he scored the winning goal in overtime in the gold medal game.
Congrats on a fine showing in the Olympics Canada!!
Proud to share the longest border in the world with you guys.

Yeah, it's a beautiful thing Sean. Our games against the Jest this year are going to be insanely good rivalry games. I'm pumped up right now just thinking about it.
I completely agree with Scott, we are obviously in his head because he can't stop talking about us. He doesn't need to mention us first because you can be sure he's going to mention us every time.
Dolphins interview McCluster; Boldin on the market
The Combine is in full workout mode with offensive linemen running and jumping and pushing and pulling today. And of course, there is news. Arizona Cardinals Rod Graves just made it official: Anquan Boldin in on the trade market. "We're receptive to taking any calls," Graves said today. "I don't...
NJ, what's going on bro? You still waist deep in snow in your neck of the woods?

Tickets for Miami vs Jest game 1 - $250.00
Beer at the game - $75.00
Food at the game - $40.00
Seeing Ryan's arrogant a s s crying on television because his team just got completely embarrassed on Monday Night Football - Priceless!

Indianapolis Combine update: Golden Tate interviewing with Dolphins Friday evening
More in the latest-breaking updates from the Indianapolis Combine: Aspiring scout Chris Cordero reports Notre Dame wide receiver Golden Tate will be interviewing with the Dolphins Friday night. He also has other nuggets. From Cordero: Tate mentioned that he will be speaking with the Dolphins ton...
Mando, that was my exact arguement as to why Gibril was a good signing last year. Boy was that wrong. lol
Ireland defends Wilson, suggests he's staying
Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland just finished speaking with the media and the most interesting thing from the talk, in my opinion, was his whole-hearted defense of Gibril Wilson and suggestion the free safety will remain with the Dolphins in 2010. Ireland was asked if Wilson took too much ...
NJ, what up buddy? You going to be doing your combine updates?

Dang, I always have too much work during the good blogs!! Real quick, gald to hear Ireland acknowledge the ILB play. It makes me think we’ll definitely upgrade ILB in some fashion be it in the draft or through FA. Just please say we won’t stand pat at that position Trifecta.
As for Wilson, if we do keep him, it’ll be interesting to see if a different scheme changes anything for him. He got a little better as the season wore on but still was below average IMO. It is kind of surprising to hear the endorsement from Ireland. Then again with this regime the stuff they feed the media is all bullsh*t anyway. It wouldn’t surprise me if the next thing we hear about Gibril is that he was cut.

LMAO @ NJ
You were dead on balls accurate about Gibril. Boy was I wrong on that one. :)
Kindle: A look beyond stats and 40 times
So now you know that Mike Mayock believes the Dolphins will draft outside linebacker candidate Sergio Kindle because he is rated No. 7 among the draft analyst's best players, and Miami needs a defensive playmaker, and all those great football reasons. And that is dandy for an analyst looking pur...
NJ, you’re half right. I only had the one convo with you when you welcomed me on this blog when I was a new blogmentor, then I was a semi-regular at the SS until I realized that Mando and his blog are far superior. My dumb a** fell for the Taylor April fools!! LOL That should be enough for ya
Gotta get back to work. Peace out buddy :)

Mark, I truly hope we we get a rematch of USA & Canada. I'm not a big hockey fan but I watched the whole game and was riveted. It just seemed like it was played full-bore for the ENTIRE game by the players and that energy was contagious. I would love to see a rematch.

Thanks fro the reply #1. My father is the reason I like the Dolphins as well although it's exactly the opposite. He was a Niner's fan and I started watching football during the Niner's/Dolphins Super bowl and wanted to root against him because we really didn't get along. From that point on I was a football finatic and I lived and breathed Dolphin football.
NJ, I think I was unclear in my reference. You explained to me about a year ago why there are so many New Jersey natives who love the Dolphins and I was referencing that conversation (the hint, hint was because I was under a different screen name at that time) :)

Yeah Indiana, I'm in Sac, CA and there are Dolphins fans EVERYWHERE in this city. We always have a solid fan base when I hit the sports bars.

It is surprising (and great) to see the number of Canadians that follow the Dolphins. Is there some reason Canada loves them some Dolphins or do you guys just blog more? I remember when NJ explained to me the reason we have so many jersey guys who are Dolphins fans (hint, hint NJ) so I figured I'd ask the Canadians on the board.

Mike Mayock: Dolphins should pick Kindle
NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock is a big fan of Sergio Kindle -- so much so, he rates the Texas outside linebacker prospect ahead of Alabama inside linebacker Rolando McClain and believes the Dolphins should pick him with the No. 12 overall pick of the draft. "I think if you're trying to l...
I agree Craig. I’ve been saying for quite a while that our ILB play weakened our whole D especially on the back end. You can’t have average TEs running amok in the middle of the field every freakin game and having the top flight TEs winning games single-handedly against us.
I don’t know whether McClain is going to be great or not. I leave that to Parcells and company to decide if he is the choice or if it’s one of the others, but I do want to see our LB core especially our ILBs upgraded. We need an ILB that is not a horrible liability in coverage because with Ayodele and Crowder we have a huge mismatch in our base D every single game.
Tell me why Rolando McClain is special
I am not a scout and do not pretend to play one on the Internet. I'm not a personnel guy. I don't know squat about grading players or projecting players. My gig is to tell you what the scouts I speak with tell me. But I know a good football player when I see one. And I know a great one when I se...
You just made Rob in OC's day Mando. As I'm sure you know, he has been preaching and arguing this every day for weeks now.

Ricky Williams rolling as LT declines
LaDainian Tomlinson was released by the San Diego Chargers a little while ago. And that got me to thinking. Tomlinson, 30, will be looking for a new team in his 10th NFL season. His statistics the past two seasons suggest he is a diminished player, a running back whose explosion and speed have a...
JB, I feel Ayodele was the worst starter on D last year (including over Wilson) and Crowder is serviceable but just barely. I feel a lot of our defensive woes were directly related to the middle of our D being slow to react and ineffective.
You put a good cover ILB and a good run stuffing ILB in there and the TE problems are not nearly as bad and our run D is that much better. I think we have a few decent OLB like Wake coming up and OLB is strong in this draft meaning we can get some good ones in later rounds. ILB by contrast is not nearly as deep and even though some of the OLBs may be able to move inside I’d rather not take that chance and get one of the proven ILB.

Without question Po. I don't pretend to know what Parcells is going to do but his track record is something to take into consideration. And I stay away from the McClain/Graham argument because I've seen it go nowhere. I'm on record as stating I feel ILB is a bigger need than OLB but I think we are going to get a good player whichever way they decide to go.

Correct me if I’m wrong but hasn’t Mando said he prefers Graham over McClain because he sees OLB as the bigger need and feels Graham is worthy of the #12 pick? Not because he doesn’t think McClain isn’t as good as advertised.
