How fun! I love the natural colors.
... felting
Tennis balls, pure rubber balls, or any ball that bounces can be given a felt cover to soften their impact and sound but still maintains the fun of a bouncing ball. They are also washable! I first made felted balls over twenty five years ago and they were featured in Country Loving Magazine. ...
Not bad at all! I do love berry season. We haven't had a chance to go blueberry picking yet this yr. I need to get while the gettin's good!
Blueberry Picking.
Most of you were right about our plans for yesterday's mystery field trip. We went berry picking! Each berry season is so fleeting. Abundance one day, out-and-out over the next. Since I refuse my children out-of-season berries (and many other fruits and veggies) during muc...
Peach lavender buter.. mmmm. That sounds so good! makes me wish my lavender hadn't shriveled up. I hope our little one has a wonderful 5th birthday!
Right now : I am
preparing : for a certain boy's 5th birthday celebration eating : this bread & jam and never tiring of it feeling : very sappy and oh so sentimental about my baby boy (5? Oh my) baking : dark chocolate cupcakes thinking : the Five birthday shirt might be a wee bit late waiting : ...
Harper and the chickens foraging, love! Here's my moment. http://thiscosylifeblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/this-moment_29.html
{this moment}
{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see. . . . ....
I can relate. I really had high hopes and big plans this year, but with a wild 1.5 yr old that will not stay close to mama, no matter what!... it just didn't happen. I always say, there's always next yr.
My sad excuse for a garden.
I had high hopes for my little back yard garden this year, but alas, I think I mostly just screwed up. I got my seeds started way too late, and everything got off to a late start. I think I will be lucky at this rate to have a few tomatoes and a handful of parsley by September. I also didn't do ...
It's so nice to see you back again! I just stuck my head in yesterday, wondering if I had missed any posts.
I love that peachy yarn on top, gorgeous! I am beginning to think Halloween-y thoughts. I know, it's not even August yet! And think what fun some little knitted ghosts and witch's caps would be.

Hmmm... sounds an awful lot like two silly little girls I know. I've just totally given up on them having nice shoes!
rainy day outside play
Rain. Wonderful day for wet, water, outside play. The children were outside playing. But their rain boots* were not. The dry boots still stood guard at the front door where they usually waited on sunny days. I was curious what they were wearing— Two children were barefoot. This one was wear...
I love the Scrumptious yarns!
Milky Whey Giveaway
Maybe because I love food so much, when there's a yarn made out of something one traditionally eats, it beckons me irresistibly. And when my fingers felt the hand and drape of the Kollage Milky Whey at Stitches last year, it was time to dig in. And now you'll have a chance to try for youself; ...
I love this! What a creative way to use watercolor paintings and so beautiful, too. Thanks for sharing this, Nicole. I can't wait to make one with my girls.
.:Watercolor Star Mobile ~ Tutorial:.
.: Twirling, swirling, magical watercolor star mobile! :. We enjoyed a great snowstorm over the past few days! As the snow blew in, my family was enjoying the coziness of home while crafting! This watercolor star mobile took us a few days from start to finish, which was just perfect to occupy ...

Wow, that really is alot of WIPs! Such gorgeous colors. I plan on starting knitting for gifts (birthdays, too!) very soon as well. First up is my baby's first bday at the end of this month then I'm going going to dive into Christmas gifts. I just totally ran out of time this yr and, like you, would rather just take the stress out of handmade holidays.
