Today was a great first day…we started by eating breakfast, of course, then we went on to do devos. Then we broke up into our groups and went to our work sites. The first day was kinda chill, we first went to Union Missions and helped the finance office and helped them make and label the file folders…then we had a fantastic lunch in Forsyth Park and ran in the fountain. We then went to have a class with a guy that is in charge of the volunteer missions work for Union Missions. He told us very surprising facts about the homeless community. Then we went to the showers and the rest of the day went from there. ( The shower was GREAT!) In Christ, Kenny Ashley Continue reading

by Paul PhaneufGreetings from Havana, We started today, Monday, with a breakfast at the Methodist center of Cuban toast, Cuban coffee and fresh guava Juice. Then it was off to the Iglesia Methodist Church where we will be working this week. The church is several years into a rehab construction. Our mission team of 12 persons will help the 2 full time construction workers pour and mold 10 concrete beams that will support the outside walls of the new sanctuary. We went to Sunday church here and had a vibrant 3 hour service with our Cuban brothers and sisters. It will be exciting to see how this church grows over the next few years of construction. The pace is slow but steady, limited by manpower and funds....We will keep you in our prayers. Continue reading
