Hi Joseph, hearty tip of the cap for the "willing lemmings" and "occupy Wall Street" sentences, which crystallized a lot of what I find irritating about both of those two groups. Based on the following group of people, however, I would posit that business success and kindness of heart don't have to be exclusive: http://givingpledge.org/#enter (One might note, Mr. Jobs is not on the list.)

Dang, now you're making me wish I had a book club. Remember when people read books? Made out of paper? That was cool. Do you want to start an e-book club? I bet people would show up to that. Or perhaps you're already planning a companion cartoon along those lines. Ok, back to work. Thanks for putting a few smiles in a great, faux-Indian-Summer morning.

I am so impressed with this one, since it requires several second of concentration for me to figure out which way the little arrowhead's supposed to be pointing. A tip of the cap to you sir, for your grasp of mathematical subtleties such as this.

My only problem with this one is that it implies that Americans have an interest in learning about other cultures . . . sorry, just got back from a year of charity work in the Philippines, and feeling a bit ornery at times.

Wait, you too roll your eyes at all the insta-art out there? I mean, why practice honing a craft when you can just download an app? I feel so stupid! I've been wasting my time all these years trying to learn how to write and take pictures well. p.s. Did you lose any readers with this one? p.p.s. And then there were the people who were probably like "Ooh, Ray Charles . . . maybe I should try shooting with my eyes closed. That'd be rad."

Hi Nancy! Can't say I'm thankful to have that brought to my attention, since you can't un-see something like that. But I suppose such linguistic ignominies are fascinating to we verbophilic types in the sense that car crashes are to commuters. I will forever have a soft spot for them, however, as someone from Massachusetts, for doing this Boston-appropriate version: http://www.cluelessinboston.com/2009/04/makahs-maahk.html
