LETS GET SOMETHING STRAIGHT HERE PEOPLE. RONDO IS THE POINT GUARD. He is not a half player, whatever that means? Because he isn't a knock down jump shooter al his other facets completely out weigh that. Lets realize we are fortunate to have guys making contributions off the bench and move forward.

I don't know what people watch and expect from these guys. There are very few NBA players that play at an extremely consistent level. Really only Paul Piece does for us anyways. Avery had a few things go his way last game, in another upcoming games things will go his way again. His ball pressure is off the charts, its an invaluable asset come playoffs. He takes good shots (doesn't make many, but they look good) and plays his ass off. He will get it.

I don't think it is. Brooks can score. He is on a horrible team and has the green light. Of course he can end up like Monta Ellis or if he obsessed like kobe he has the skill set. He'd be on the bench with Boston

I like Bass in there at the end too. Honestly I think Bradley just needs to see the ball go in the basket a few times. Really think he needs a couple games like he had against NY at the end of the season. ONce He realizes he can play it will start to fall into place.

I believe Steisma is for real. If you watch the game he does a lot of the intangible basketball plays. He is mostly in great position both on offense and defense. He has great hands and runs the court extremely well. Just don't set your expectations at 4 blocks a game and everyones happy. the kid can play.

you know what I notice? That we have an athletic bench and not Nenad Krystic.

I did see some good things from Johnson against toronto. I have real hopes for the rookies..

bradley far from sucks. He will pressure the ball as he did yesterday, they don't make stats for that. keep your expectations to realistic level. How is Dooling overrated? He is a back up guard here to give Rondo rest. For the first time i can remember we have an athletic bench, I have high hopes for this group. All comes down to health...

disclaimer- I hope JG is fine and is able to play BUT, I WANT PERKINS BACK! Come on Stern, rescind the trade in interest of basketball

This is a disaster! I was looking forward to the Boston vs LA , Rondo vs Pau. Imagine the intensity? It'd be like the 90's NBA hoop days, give me those back! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3LxG2iu0SI

this is a disaster. I was actually looking forward to a Celtics VS Lakers. Paul Vs Rondo match up. Imagine the intensity for that match up. We are talking 90's NBA hoops. Give me those days back! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3LxG2iu0SI

If Paul goes to the lakers I might implode

honestly Chris Paul is built for the celtics system. Rondo would be a circus in a D'antoni type system. Who knows how many assist he would average? Or any other get out and run type system.

im open to trade Rondo, BUT and its a KK + JLO BUTT. I would expect nothing less than a Chris Paul type player or some other perennial All Star that plays defense. I feel Rondo at his best, is the best point guard in the league, he just doesn't play his best consistent enough. Maybe its impossible to play that well consistently? Bulls playoff for example.

put it this way, when I read the headline I put my arms up in victory in my cubicle. 110% if we can get Josh for Ray we should do it. Does it suck to give up Ray. Of course, but we NEED to get younger. Ever since I have followed the celtics (84) Its always been a race against the clock and if we were young, we sucked. ANY player that comes to the C's gets their head put on straight pretty quick. Green, Smith, Garnett, Peirce, Rondo? Thats a hell of a starting 5. NO REASON why Paul can't play the 2. I am getting pumped with the possibility of that happening.

I don't care about our offensive rebounds (they are a bonus) what I do care about is giving up OFFENSIVE rebounds. If we rebound the ball we win. I am surprised we are ninth btw.

I think whats being really underestimated is what Jeff Green's real reason was for coming to Boston. We didn't need him to come in a pput up big numbers eachnight (it'd be nice) what he is foing is giving Peirce the rest that he has never had the luxury of in the playoffs. ITS A GUHE FACTOR, there is a drop when Green comes in, but its as minimal as its ever been. You got a guy that can guard Melo and Lebron AND give PP plenty of rest. The first sweep in the big 3 era? It might just be, because PP has legs going into the 4th quarter and can put a stop to opposing teams runs. A bucket here and bucket there, it makes a big difference

D'antoni is/might be the most over rated coach in the NBA. Never seen a coach get so out coached. Someone tell him the NBA is all about defense these days, if you don't play it, you lose

He can get 40 all he wants. If he shoots 55% we are in trouble. If we don't rebound again, we are in trouble. We need to send a message to the Heat tonight.
