Neither of those guys belong in the top 6 of a rotation. makes no sense at all. No way you can trade a HOFer for 2 roll players.
Ex-Celtics coach offers trade scenarios involving Pierce
Former Celtics head coach John Carroll (2003-04, the bridge guy from Jim O'Brien to Doc Rivers) is a contributing writer for ESPN.com. He's come up with 5 logical trade scenarios involving Paul Pierce. 1. To Atlanta for Josh Smith 2. To Memphis for Rudy Gay 3. To Indiana for Danny Granger 4. To...
His hands a tided on that, it is old man Oneal or a bunch of middle talent role players. I love Stiemsma but if he is played too much, his weaknesses will become glaring. Danny didn't have much to work with but this team just doesn't have the talent past the top 4 and NO quality size.
Recap: Dirk delivers dagger in win over Cs
Dirk Nowitzki blew past Kevin Garnett for the game-winning circus lay-up as the Mavericks beat the Celtics 90-85. This was a game the Mavericks were supposed to lose. Back-to-back road games. Three games in four nights. Meanwhile, the Celtics had four days off. I'll be kind and say the Celtics ...
Thanks for the great break down! Wish CSN had this level of analysis. Please keep it up!
From the GreenLab: The Backstabber
One of the staple offensive sets that the Celtics run is called "Floppy." We covered it quite extensively last season, but essentially the main play is to set a back screen (or two, or ten) on the baseline for Ray to curl or "flop" around and get open for a jumper. But it also has several opti...
Apparently there are a lot of hansom woman down in Orlando, no wonder Howard is open getting out of there.
The lockout has left me no choice...
Meet Lyndsay of the 2011-12 Orlando Magic dance team. During a lockout, the release of dance team swimsuit portraits constitutes as NBA news.
Damn look at Rondo on those Box jumps compared to everyone else, he is almost back in the air before he hits the ground. I love seeing things that show just how great these athletes are.
Rondo Continues his Summer Workouts in Louisville
Rajon Rondo has been pretty active during the summer of the lockout in the NBA. This video was posted by fellow University of Kentucky alumni Nazr Mohammed, and shows Rondo doing various drills on the track to strengthen the legs, while also improving speed, agility, balance and quickness. The...
KG sums it up perfect in the replay walking back to the bench "Poise Mother Fucker"!
Your Morning Dump... Where Doc & KG make excuses for the rebounding
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “It was a matter of us because we had to go trap. We were less one guy on the glass,” Doc Rivers explained following the 96-93...
This is a new season with new issues, I think right now Doc is more concerned with getting to the 2nd and 3rd rounds. With everything that has happened since the all star break the Finals are a long way off, lets not get ahead of our selves.
Your Morning Dump... Doc makes his case for rest
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. “With the way we’re playing right now, I think we do need (the break), so we’re going to take it. And we don’t have a lot of ti...
I think the past 2 games were great Chemistry wins. In both games there was a lot of bad play at points but also some gritty, rally round your teammates and do what you need to win. These wins should have benefits down the road in the playoffs.
Recap: Celtics beat Knicks in steel cage
The Celtics spotted the Knicks a 15 point cushion, only to rip their hearts out with a gritty, gutty 4th quarter. Paul Pierce once again bitch-slapped the Knicks. He scored 13 of his 21 points in the final quarter. He had the look. Call him the anti-Melo (5 of his 22 points in the 2nd half). Y...
I think you hit the nail on the head, especially when you compared LeBron's words to KG. If you watch this old interview KG did with John Thompson you not only won't see KG say "I'm satisfied with this loss" but you can see that LeBron is the antithesis what KG stands for. I don't know if LeBron had THAT inside him.

LeBron highlights the difference between winners & losers
By now you probably know the Heat lost last night. After the game, LeBron made a comment that stuck out like a sore thumb... and highlights why he's not a winner. “Tonight is not a game when you feel awful when you lose,” James said. “We can be satisfied with this loss because we played hard...
I agree with Banner18, I really like seeing what the other team blogs are saying, either in the "Enemy Chatter" or about them selves with these new posts. Keep it up
Eye on the enemy, featuring an ordinary Magic team

Your Morning Dump... Where Jeff Green might be TOO versatile
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. It’s only been a week since the Celticsacquired Jeff Green, but the Celtics are already trying to figure out one small probl...
Agree with everyone else, Like this format a lot. Concise is right, gives the key stats, important things to look for, potential pit falls and background history of the last match up. Great job!
How we see it goin' down: C's - Suns
So we're still tinkering with the previews. We're ditching the last one. Let us know what you think of this one in the comments. Tip: 7:30pm Court: TD Garden Watch it: CSN Hear it: WEEI The Matchup Record 43-15 (1st Atlantic, 1st East) At home: 25-5 Streak: Won 2 Leaders Bucket...
Crazy stuff, I have officially become addicted to twitter since the start of the trade deadline. Great to see this news unfold live!
Murphy chooses Boston
Twitter / Marc Stein: Troy Murphy HIMSELF confir ... via kwout There was a lot of confusion there for a while with ESPN reporting Murphy would sign with the Celtics and Yahoo saying he was going with Miami... which is why Marc Stein said it the way he said it. In the end... Troy Murphy ...
How about just the Nenad the Comb Over? That thing is pretty epic
Rondo initiates Krstic with some Rondo-ness
When's the last time The Big K got up for an alley oop? Also... are we really going with "Kurly" for Nenad's nickname? I get it... his hair is awful... but can't we come up with something better? "Chairman" maybe because he likes to toss chairs around at people? I dunno... we need something.
