Wow. I geeked to the Star Wars Sketchbook when i was 6. If I had the time and opportunity to be hang out in art with Mike & Rick, I would have NEVER had any doubts about doing commercial or industrial art in college.

Wil - as someone whom is thinking about distributing audio files on Lulu, I'm not impressed with the screen presented to the buyer for the download. What I've seen is something that looks like (to us) like a simple naked UNIX directory listing; I'm afraid that to the non-technical customers I will bring to Lulu it will be too long and scary looking for them to simply right-click and download. Or is the screen different for a not-free download? I've been cheap in my exploration so far . .

I'm going to derail this topic, but what is up with my copy of OO's spellchecker? It works just fine from a control-click on the document while typing, but when I use the spellcheck tool OO claims it can't find the dictionary or give suggestions. It obviously hasn't annoyed me enough to this point to find the damn answer myself . .

Bwaahahahaha! Another toon drawer you should get to know, gang. Especially after she captured Scruffy Wil 2 weeks before he had been unleashed upon the world.

Wil - that was a fantastic teaser and utterly appropriate - thank you for sharing. One comment, which I hope you're willing to reply to. "Simon’s parents were divorced, and he lived with his mom in a huge house in La Canada. His room was filled with evidence of a custody Cold War. Too many toys to count littered the floor and spilled out of the closet, but even though we were surrounded by Atari and Intellivision, GI Joe and Transformers . . " Being as we're both step-parents, witnesses to custody cold wars, but from homes where out parents remain married (and silly enough, still love each other) - how do you feel about this statement when you examine it separately? I used to think that I and my son's extended family over-indulged the child with toys in compensation or competition. But now that I have a daughter with my wife, that observation appears to be completely erroneous. Both my kids, may they know their blessings some day, are almost drowning in toys and other amusements.

So Wil, speaking as the most Peter Parker-ish nebbish I know of, what do you think of this Spider-Man thing?

BiPM only posted the first half this morning - I'm glad you reached out and grabbed the second half.
