I love finding things I can alter to become art!! While school supply shopping I came across a section of clipboards. Not very exciting right? But they were plain, and just begging to be made beautiful! I grabbed a pile of them, and have since set to work! These are pretty simple, I wanted them to still be actually usable. So the embellishment and flower are at the bottom. Hopefully, out of the way, while still being pretty. These are easy-peasy. I just covered them in DSP, sealed them with modge-podge, and used hot glue and our ribbon to make... Continue reading

Just a quick post today to share with you a FANTASTIC promotion going on right now! YEP! Free ribbon with every $40! I loooove ribbon, and even more than ribbon, I love FREE ribbon!!! I hope you do too! Continue reading

When I sat down to make this card, I had no idea where it was going. I knew I wanted to use the Established Elegance Set, which I just received as a gift for participating in a Focus Group at Stampin’ Up!’s Convention. I’ve loved this set for a while now, and it was the perfect time to get it. We all know how trendy banners are, and this has double the fun! I used our color spritzer tool to enhance the antique feel from the keys. I put the large pearls at the top of the banner to give... Continue reading

Yellow is considered to be a happy color. It reminds us of sunshine, warm days and carefree summers. I made this card with the sentiment Hello, and it’s a great card to brighten someone’s day by saying hello! Like most of us crafters, if you have a whole pile of little scrap paper that you just can’t STAND getting rid of… this card is your solution! Not all the banners are uniform, and they all come from a different pack of paper. So go make a few of these and make a dent in your scrap stack! For this card... Continue reading

Today I have a very simple but elegant card to share with you. I found inspiration for this card on Pinterest. (Follow me HERE!) I used the beautiful beautiful Papaya Collage Set - (126610) for the butterflies on this one. I stamped in light colors and topped it off with a dark sentiment. For a little bling I added pearls to a few of the butterflies. The wonderful thing about this card is it’s easy to duplicate, and do many of them in one setting. Just switch out the sentiment (Or even leave the card blank and stamp the sentiment... Continue reading

Can you believe it? I've actually gotten two cards made since I've been home from convention! I really missed my kiddos and my husband, and I was so excited to be able to spend some time with them! Things are getting back to normal around here a bit. You'd never guess I was even gone though. Joe had all dishes, laundry, trash, bathrooms, cat boxes and more all done! He's SuperHusband. And no, I don't rent him out. Sorry :). Take A Look: How's this for a masculine card? I LOVE this set! It's the You're Amazing Set and has... Continue reading

Hi there!! I've just returned from Convention, and WOW it was awesome!! I already can't wait for next year - it's SU's 25th anniversary, so it's a big one! Here's a picture of the first card I made coming home This card uses the Moving Forward Set - and the best part about this set is that it's this year's Ronald McDonald House charity stamp set. That means that $3 from every purchase of this stamp sets gets directly donated to Ronald McDonald House! SU has partnered with RMHC for many years, and we're just as excited as ever to... I love 3-D projects. The only problem I run into is the time aspect. With a 2 and 4 year old, sometimes (er, often) it's hard to find the time to sit down and make a project like a big 3-D. But recently, I made these cute magnets, in just about no time flat. I ran some of our cardstock through the big shot using Beautiful Wings Butterfly Embosslit. I used modge podge to stick some designer paper down, and embelisshed them with wire and pearls. The Tiles themselves are actually from Lowe's -- Seriously, every time I go into... Continue reading

Ok, so I'll be the first to admit.... I often drop the ball when it comes to actually getting a card in the mail. Or even hand delivering it. If I've missed your birthday or wedding, or some other really important date in your life, chances are I've got a card for you sitting on my table. Case in Point: My brother's wedding card. The wedding was June 2nd. And.... Here's the card for me to share with you! I even BROUGHT it to Colorado so I wouldn't not mail it. But, it got left in the hotel room and... Continue reading

Convention is right around the corner, and I am thrilled!!! I cannot wait!! It's always such a blast and Stampin' Up! Always spoils us like crazy. One of the most fun things about convention is swapping. I'm in a couple of organized swaps this year, so I thought I'd share one of them right now. This is the card I made for the "Very Vintage" swap I am participting in. I make a number (15 for this one) of the same cards and then hand them out to the other ladies in the swap, and recieve back the same number... Continue reading

Hi there! This year, I took a big chance and entered into the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team contest. It's a big deal to be selected as one of the 10 - and this year I didnt' make it to the finalists, so I'm able to share what I sent in. I was (and AM) very proud of the projects I sent in. I'll be sending in projects again next year, so wish me luck for that! But the plus side this time is that YOU get to see my projects! Some of these products are now retired as the... I finally ordered an order full of new items from the brand new catalog! I am so excited. I couldn't wait to open it and play with these things! Today I'm sharing a card that was easy to make, and let me use a number of new fun products. First, I used the Fan Fair Designer Paper - I love it! (of course, hehe) It's a great pack of paper, it's funky and fun, with a little bit of vintage thrown in there. The colors are easy to pair, and of course, it has a coordinating suite. In addition to... Continue reading

Just thought I'd share a fun Mother's day card! This one is easily re-create-able, and is a great way to use up some of those scraps: I simply punched out hearts and stuck a dimensional on back. Super Simple. Sometimes they are the best! Happy Mother's day to the Mommies out there! Check back tomorrow, I have a post scheduled with another cute card :) Christine Continue reading

Hi everyone, I have a fun project to share with you today. It was a spur of the moment project, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out! I wish I would have taken pictures during the process - but I sat down on a whim and just kept going. That doesn't happen too often, for a project like this I usually have a plan. (Not that the plan works...) Here are the steps I took, and hopefully you can re-create something similar! Find a clipboard you like. I got these on super clearance on SU's Clearance Rack... Well... I've been Pinned. I saw this project done on Pinterest the other day, and thought "Oh I HAVE to do that!" So I did. Seriously. Right then. That's how easy peasy this was. And I didn't even have to have anything special. Odds are you'll be able to do this too! It took me about 15 minutes. Start with your basic materials: Light switch Cover Swatch of fabric (Note- it's probably better to use ONE piece of fabric, but I was going to use this pattern, or else. Unfortunately, all I had left were very small pieces. I knew... Continue reading
