Thanks for the share. I love TED talks. David Pogue often has some pretty interesting things to say, and this one doesn't disappoint. It gives me confidence that usability tools like the one we have designed at http://intuitionhq.com will have more and more success in the future, and I think that bodes well for the health of technology and the internet. As Apple has proved, the more usable something is, the more people will use it!

It really is a very interesting topic, isn't it? It's interesting to see just how far ahead the iPhone is at the moment, but good to see HTC/Google improving all the time. Thanks for the post.
Sad but true. Of course, I still think you need to be out there, otherwise people won't know anything much about you at all. Let me put it this way; you may not gain much by having a social media presence, but you will lose customers if you don't.

Hi Whitney, great list - some good sites. May I ask what you do in terms of usability? Do your run tests, or just rely on designers to produce the goods?... We've set up a new usability testing service at http://intuitionhq.com - please check it out if you have a moment - it's a really simple site, but the idea is, unless testing is simple, testing will suffer and that flows on to UX as well. If you'd like to have a play on our site, please send us a message on twitter @intuitionhq and I can give you a couple of free tests to try it out. Keep up the great work! Cheers.

Neat article, and you are very right about killing conversations! There is just no easy way around it though, and I really can imagine the impact it could have on clients. I suppose we should consider ourselves lucky we don't work for companies like Apple, at least if the stories about their over the top security measures are to be believed. Thanks for the interesting read David.
