Oh, such lovely handmade goodness! Having finally made the leap to working at home with a very small group of children ("The Birch House"), how wonderful it would be to play with these delightful materials. Thank you Amanda and Natural Kids for the chance. Happy Fall!

Great designs, yet it is the story of the textiles and the weavers/makers in India that really intrigues me. A wonderful partnership to hear about, and to support. Thank you for the introduction!

What fun! Methinks we shall have to order issue 6, as our Big Kids have been possessed by origami in recent weeks. The thought of combining that with our gardening projects is pretty sweet! And Annie - that quote is headed for my frig and the front door of our little child care program - *love*.

Our Big Kids love their Crayon Rocks! We would love to have some more treats - thanks for the chance. ** And Amanda, an enormous, heartfelt THANK YOU for the link to "No Apologies" on the Blog Snob, by Danielle Belton. As the mother of two Black teenaged sons, the past few weeks have been soul-rippingly painful. This post was/is deeply meaningful to me, and in all my reading, I had not yet found it. *Thank you.* Love, from Andrea, sister of Justine, in Vermont

Joy incarnate. One can almost see her spirit filling up and spilling over with joy and presence in the moment. This is an amazing, beautiful photograph Amanda, made all the more so by "what lies beneath." this image will stay with my heart for a long time. Thank you for sharing. <3

Oh, surely one of my favorite posts, having grown up in a hundred year-old house and spent many hours visiting my grandmother, two houses over, in the hundred and fifty year-old house my father had grown up in... When just three years ago, we finally left my beloved home, my son and I had a bittersweet goodbye ritual. As part of that, we went up to the attic and through a hole in the floorboard, dropped down a special stone for each member of our family and my family of origin, some special notes we had written, and a couple of photos. They may stay undiscovered forever, or someone may find them, but as part of a family who lived in that house for fifty of her years, we wanted to leave our tokens of love there for ourselves and others.

Dear Amanda ~ I'm taking a moment, also, to notice how very much your thoughtful words and lovely images mean to me. I struggle so very much with balance of work and family, with fast and slow, with letting go. This space and your books are meditations for me, deeply meaningful, taken to heart, and a source of solace and encouragement. Thank you so much. All blessings on you and your family this joyful season. Love, Andrea in Vermont
