I still can't believe this. Did Danny panic? Is Danny more concerned about the C's being competitive (and ensuring his own job security) long-term than winning #18 this year?

I like this move less and less. I think Danny totally underestimated Perk's willingness to re-sign with Boston next year, even if it meant taking less than some other teams were offering. Top teams shouldn't be making major moves when they're in the thick of a championship run.
