Hey, Ruthie Ellen, I'm thinking I'll come to Indy before July 1 (when we head out to Santa Fe) but I don't have dates yet - probably the week before or the week after Father's Day. I'm going to ask Dad to come here for Father's Day - I may go back with him. We'll see how things shape up. I'll let you know for sure. Jane Ellen
Crazy days.
We just got back from a trip to Cabo with the grandbabies (and their parents). I didn't take any pictures myself, but we had a photographer come out to take a few, so I'll show you those later. I found a little window of stitching time on Sunday and I pulled out this oldie but goodie. See...
Ladies, you're all so fun. Until I saw Melissa's post, I was planning a dinner party for the start of the next season of Downton Abbey!! HAHA. Not really. Margaret, I know if says a lot about my personality that I constantly take things out. Never good enough. Probably something from my loving, normal, midwestern upbringing that made me like this. The thread arrived yesterday so I'm stitching along on the trees. Will post again soon.

Hi, Beth and Jane, I sent you an email with the contact info for the lady with the Petei stash. Good luck!!
Petei Santas
After I thought I was going to be able to fund a trip for Mark and me with the sale of my Petei Santa stash, I decided I couldn't part with them and decided to "acquire" a few more. And in the middle of that, I pulled out one that I got from The French Knot a few years ago.... I did their Pet...

Melissa, That's too funny!! If she looks like she's stalking me today, I'll know why!!
Don't tell Nora
I haven't broken the news to Nora yet, but there's another cat in the house. The Geisha Cat is framed and hanging in the front hallway!! Glory be. A big finish in 2013 already. One finish hardly makes a trend, but it's nice. Nora is pretty spoiled, so I'm hoping she'll survive the comp...
Jane, You're absolutely right. I actually changed the threads to match Nora's eyes as closely as I could. I think the original eyes were yellow.

Courtenay, we'll definitely try Flight. I think Memphis has some pretty good restaurants (besides Gus's). I've been looking at the peacock ornament, too. Might have to do one of those.
Speaking of Amy's
Somehow the stars aligned and I was able to sign up for a canvas enhancement class with Tony Minieri at Amy's before it sold out. The class is in October 2013. In the needlepoint world, it just doesn't get any better than this. Amy and Tony in the same room! And Gus's chicken, too!! When I...

Norman Rockwell, where are you?
I know that I'm the Mimi in this scheme, but I think this photo of Maddie and Jake has Rockwellian qualities. There's a story in our family which still mortifies some people, even though others of us find it humorous. When Jordan was in the 8th or 9th grade, he and a friend raided Amanda's cl...
