My first quilt was a wall hanging over 20 years ago. It had a fall theme. The checkerboard border was horrible to put together and the borders aren't really straight- more wavy. I still put it up each fall.

I have a black featherweight and don't use it too often, but just recently my Viking had to go in for repairs and I used the featherweight for a couple projects including a new dust ruffle for my bed. I figured out how to use the gathering attachment and it worked like a charm.

I read many of the Nancy Drew books, but the one children's book I just loved was Old Black Witch. Of course I have many favorites, too numerous to mention, that I read to my kids when they were small.

I don't have a a group of quilty friends, but every now and then I drag my poor mother out to a quilt show or shopping for fabric. It only seems fair since she instilled the love of sewing in me!

My apron was given to me a few years ago by my mom. It is made of Mary Engelbriet fabric which is perfect since my kitchen is decorated in everything Mary!

Wow, I had to think hard about my favorite Christmas gift. When I was 6 or 7 I got a Winnie the Pooh watch and an album from The Blustery Day. I still have them both!

I live in Aledo, Illinois. A quiet midwest town of 3000. The most famous place to eat is Vitale's. Owned by a true Italian who married a local girl. The restaurant has been open more than 30 years. My favorite dish is toasted ravioli served on their homemade sauce.

I love Colorado- I've been there a couple of times. My favorite place in my hometown would be my house. It's a victorian house built in 1893. We have done and are continuing to do a lot of restoration on it.

My favorite pattern is Swoon. I have the pattern -just waiting for the perfect fabric. My favorite color is gray...or aqua...or yellow. Depends on the day.
