My first quilt was a wall hanging over 20 years ago. It had a fall theme. The checkerboard border was horrible to put together and the borders aren't really straight- more wavy. I still put it up each fall.

I have a black featherweight and don't use it too often, but just recently my Viking had to go in for repairs and I used the featherweight for a couple projects including a new dust ruffle for my bed. I figured out how to use the gathering attachment and it worked like a charm.
