A day to remember. Since I can remember my family camped. We got our first trailer in the early 60's, a Holiday Rambler. If we still had it, it would be considered a "vintage" trailer. Today, my sister and I met in New York City at the Anitques Event at... Continue reading

My house is filled with little tiny pieces of thread, everywhere even on BO. I finished my rag quilt and put it in the washing machine and dryer last night. When I took it out, I was so surprised by the fluffiness of it. Between, the colors, the flannel and... Continue reading

It has been a busy weekend for me. I started with painting the doors in the laundry room with oil base paint. I almost knocked myself out with the fumes. Between the paint, turpintine and limited ventilation, I was dizzy. I have to say for someone who doesn't paint all... Continue reading

I'm taking a little break from painting and still am running around trying to pull together fabric for a rag quilt. I'm basically happy and at this point there is no turning back. My 9 inch squares with 1/2 seam are all cut and sewn with an X in the... Continue reading

WHEW!!! My bathroom and laundry are DONE. I absolutely love both of them, but have come to realize they are not normally rooms you hang out in for any length of time unless you have a health problem or problem stains of which right now I don't have either. So,... Continue reading

TAH DAH!!!!! I finished the bathroom painting project today. I can't believe how white and clean it now looks. I can't wait to really decorate, but here are a few items I added for a splash of color. The curtin is a table runner that I clipped to a rod... Continue reading

Finally some snow. Who would have thought after last winter, we would only have 4 snow storms. (so far) Bo had fun early Friday morning. Playing and searching for his "spot". Scotty, tucked in close to the garage, weathered the storm. Now for an update on the big project. I... Continue reading

Before I tell you how brave I was today, I just want to share how my day started. I'm sure it has happened to each of you, but it never happens at a convenient time. Every Thursday, I have to put the garbage out. I don't put it out the... Continue reading

Bo has been so patient with me as I continue my quest to rid my house of wallpaper. Last night, he stood quite a distance from the steamer, tonight, he got much closer and even grabbed a couple of pieces and ran with them. Overall, after two hours, I feel... Continue reading

Who would think that wallpaper and meatloaf go together. Well, not really, but it has been exciting around here this evening. It started with going to the gym, grocery store and determined to cook dinner. Sounds good, except I also had a bee in my bonnet all day to use... Continue reading

I had fun creating this little heart and bird. I found the patterns in one of my Japanese Crochet Books from Pomadour's Craft Cafe on Etsy and of course made some little changes. It was suppose to be a wreath but I smooshed the wire into a heart. I used... Continue reading

I finally found the perfect spot for my tinted mason jar. It looks so pretty at night with a candle burning on my kitchen island snuggled next to two little sheep. Oh, the sheep are from a dear friend for Christmas and the mason jar wire carrier is from my... Continue reading

Kent is a wonderful town in Northwest Connecticut. I love just walking and feeling the sunshine. L took Bo to a field for a run while I nosed around my favorite shops ending up in the Millstone Cafe for a treat and latte. Guess which goodie I had? TAH, DAH Continue reading

We did see some ice today. After a little picnic in the meadow, we headed to Kent Falls State Park. It was wonderful to see the water racing down the rocks. We didn't climb to the top, but enjoyed the view from the bottom. Continue reading
