If I was in charge, I'd bring him in alive and publicly fake his death. Then I can take my sweet time "interrogating" him. OBL holds valuable information on destroying most of the Al Quaeda structure.
Further, I'd make OBL live in a cell with a pig to offend his sensibilities. That is still much better than he deserves for his offenses.
Osama bin Laden: Why the burial at sea
The families of 9/11 victims as well as various other factions have criticized the decision to bury Osama bin Laden's body at sea, and quickly. Some people want the satisfaction of having his body in custody; others want more proof that the corpse was that of the terrorist leader. Meanwhile, t...
Wade was the only one standing up to the bullying tactics of the Celtics.
Everyone else has to stand up and back up your leader!!
Keys to C's
If there's an obvious area of improvement available for the Heat against the Celtics, it's the play of Dwyane Wade. His numbers, as we'll all know quite well by Sunday, against Boston this season include 12.8 points and 28.1 percent shooting in four games. Even in his "best" game against the C's...
Can Revok 20x ala Singapore style. Then let him go.
L.A. tagger Revok arrested at LAX
Revok, one of Los Angeles' best known graffiti writers, was arrested as he prepared to board a plane to Ireland at Los Angeles International Airport, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported. Jason Williams, a.k.a. Revok, was taken into custody Thursday for an outstanding arres...
Wow. And here I was preaching compromise to the Republicans. What a fool I've been.
Jerry Brown's message is clear. Corruption continues with the public unions and he wants the taxpayers to fund his corruption. Screw his compromise.
Gov. Jerry Brown reaches deal with prison guards
California prison guards, who are represented by one of the largest and most politically powerful state-employee unions, have reached a contract agreement with Gov. Jerry Brown. Neither the California Correctional Peace Officers Assn. nor the governor's office would provide details of the long-a...
Sporon just got the dreaded "vote of confidence", the 1st step towards the removal. =)
Slumping in more ways than one
Just watched the Blazers game over, and I'll spare you the 2,800-word breakdown, but a few things happened to stand out. I'm gonna go body language school a little bit here, but what I saw live remained obvious while watching it over. The Heat looked drained for a lot of the first half. LeBron J...
- Fans chanting at the game for Riley (aka get rid of Spo)
- CWebber bashing Sporon's abilities
- Other articles questioning Sporon's rotations
- Cnnsi came out with an article blsting the contract given to Joel Anthony and portraying how ineffective he is
- Cnnsi article also talking about the need for another effective big man to complement Bosh
- Records show Heat beat weak teams but lose to strong teams
- Boston stronger the the Heat
Gee, I've said all these things even before day 1. So now that everyone is on the same page, what are we going to do about these problems?
The Crying Game
Wow. If this team wasn't interesting enough already, now this crying ridiculousness provides a whole new element. Couple things that are driving me crazy today: First, the idea that the Heat players "crying" (there's a reason I put crying in quotes, which I'll explain) after the game indicates a...

Hit it right on the head. Bullshit all around.

I kinda liked Arroyo. He was professional and had a mature approach to the game. Chalmers, on the other hand, isn't.
Personally, I'd take Arroyo's limitations over Chalmer's limitations. imho.
What's the problem?
The last three losses to the Celtics, Bulls and Knicks have featured the same pattern: Big first quarter, flattening out the rest of the game and then a poor finish in a tight game. So, what's the problem? Because in the middle of all that, there have been different reasons within each game that...
Besides the standard issues pointed out in the past ...
- coaching problem
- Joel Anthony problem
- wins against below average teams and an inability to beat above average teams
I think Wade needs to stop Top Gun style hotdogging it.
The biggest difference between the 2011 Wade and the 2006 Wade is that the 2011 Wade needlessly tries to make spectacular plays and ends up playing out of control. The 2006 Wade never forced shots, and played what the defense gave him. I'd like to see the 2006 Wade back.
Ummm.... Hmmm
Really? 1 for 18? Really?!? There aren't many games where a single player can take the blame for a loss, but this might just be one of them. No, the Heat wasn't perfect. Far from it. The littany of mistakes, which we'll get into momentarily, though, were only made more magnified because Chris Bo...
Baron Davis should have gotten in shape before starting the season. Gotta laugh at Donald Sterling's payback.
Happy Crazy Trade Day
Wow. Two possible reasons for such a wild and crazy trade deadline week: First, a handful of teams are preparing to rebuild while anticipating new CBA rules that will make the draft a lot more important and will make the salary cap a lot more restrictive. Second, the Western Conference looked wi...
Love that Celtics trade =)

I think Eddie Curry is not interested in playing basketball. He wants the fat contract, but does not want to risk his health (enlarged heart?). It showed when he never bothered getting in shape at NY, which resulted in other compensating injuries.
We should pass on Eddie Curry.
Trade discussions
Let's get this out of the way. Mike Miller won't be traded unless it's part of a deal for some superstar. At least that's what Pat Riley essentially told him. Miller said he spoke to the Heat prez about the rumors that he'd be traded, but came out confident he'll be around. "Coach Riley assure...
Yeah ... the dunk contest wasn't impressive.
That Blake Griffin dunked was long on hype and short on difficulty (relative to some of the other dunks).
All-Star start
Couple of notes from Friday's player availability... --Kevin Durant said he doesn't consider himself in the running for MVP this season. "I don't think I have a chance. My year to try to win it was last year," he said. Last week, I thought LeBron James was at the top of the MVP race, with Dwig...
That DWade shove/technical on KG was totally worth it. Where the hell were our big men? Hiding? They should be the enforcers for our team. I'm glad DWade stood up for his teammate. When will the big guys take over that role?
On the other hand, DWade tries to make his plays too complicated. Simple plays result in more efficient results.
Celtics discussion points
--Dwyane Wade clearly hasn't been himself against the Celtics this season. In the first two games, he was 6 of 28 from the field, and Sunday he seemed to get frustrated quickly, and he did what he doesn't normally do, which is respond with some physical play. Now, the shoulder to Kevin Garnett p...

Pass on a broken down J Will ...
Did Carlos Arroyo break Israel's heart? This article seems uncalled for.
Point guard possibility?
It's just a thought, really, but Jason Williams just got waived from the Magic, and he only likes to play in two places (family reasons), Miami and Orlando. Well, should the Heat even consider bringing in J-Will for another run? The Heat has already taken Carlos Arroyo out of the rotation, shoul...
I'm surprised Richard, with all his respects, has not b*tched about Israel's article.
Perhaps he lost respect for Israel?
Mario's the guy
We pretty much knew this after the Heat played Toronto and Mario started, but the subject of Mario Chamlers starting was talked about more at length on Monday. A few quotes from Erik Spoelstra on the subject: "My focus with him has always been about the details, and they’re smaller things, and r...
eehh ... they're both average, semi-capable guards. I can go either way.
It's the big 3 plus a real center (not Joel) that will make the difference anyway.

Stupid Clippers ... that should be the 1st team they contract.
'Melo drama
It sounded strange to begin with, that Carmelo Anthony would welcome a trade to the New Jersey Nets -- meaning he would agree to sign a contract extension knowing he'd be traded there. So it only makes sense that news is leaking out Tuesday night that Carmelo has said nothing of the sort to any ...
I'd be curious to see how Joel Anthony will do in the D League.
Just can't lose
When Wesley Matthews hit a three-pointer to put the Blazers up seven with 2:13 left in regulation, it seemed like the Heat's run of road wins would run out. But a clutch LeBron James, a no-call on a double dribble (double crab dribble?) and a flawless overtime later and the Heat has now won 13 s...
Melo has historically shown he's all about the money.

Take some chill pills and relax.

On the flip side, why did Sporon play Joel Anthony 28+ minutes?
0 pts, 0 rebs, 0 blocks, 1 turnover and 4 fouls.

I'll begrudingly give credit to Sporon for calling the timeout, which allowed us to move the ball up with 2 secs left on the back court. It would have likely been a turnover otherwise.

I have D Wade on my NBA fantasy team ... Damn. 4/19 really hurt. Hope he bounces back strong.
Temporary flashback
That used to be the formula to beating the Heat in the first month of the season. Big man hitting the boards like Andrew Bogut, some random player exploding for an unexpected big game, like Chris Douglas-Roberts, a small guard like Earl Boykins collapsing the defense and a defensive effort to fr...
