Until I bought a Kindle last month, I had not paid much attention to the amazing content that's available for digital download. Then, I discovered that I could promote my blogs on Amazon for download to the Kindle. Next, I found out I could publish my own ebooks and reports and sell them in the Kindle store. Even if no one ever buys a single digital copy, I now have a presence on Amazon.com that I didn't have before. Of course if you're a published author then this is no big deal. But for those of us with ebooks, whitepapers...

I just scanned a few hundred songs that mention Dad or Father, etc. My favorite is Papa Was A Rollin' Stone but that does not fit my Father. Papa fits a certain experience in my life but not Fathers Day. I heard the The Easybeats sing Friday on My Mind a few years ago. Friday has been covered by everybody. The song lyrics are here for your pleasure. This is just a fun song. Harry Vanda and Georg Young did the writing and "Little" Stevie Wright sings his heart out. There's one line in this song that compliments my Father...

Say your posture needs some work. Your shoulders slump forward, your chest caves, your torso sags. Sometimes it's difficult to get in a deep breath. Ya know, the posturing of fear. "OK, I've had it! Sounds like just what the doctor(your own inner healer) ordered. But I would advocate a missing piece in this determined picture. I would suggest that the real healing comes when we begin feeling the new posture....

I’m so glad you read this blog. You might be picking it up via Facebook, clicking in from Twitter, or landing here after someone told you to swing by. In all cases, thank you. I’m glad that you’re here. For those of you who’ve been subscribers for a while, thank you very much. I write for you. Today I'd like to discuss vegetarianism. It seems that at times we make decisions to do something in our lives for the wrong reasons. People who are traditional vegetarians, culturally or otherwise, are not so because it improves their health but because it...

Walt Disney was quoted as saying, "It's kind of fun doing something impossible." Is it possible to prevent dis-ease? "Impossible," it is said. Here are a few edited points to consider from a Ornish Huffington Post article on diet. 1 Dont feel constrained by an approach to improve health. Remember baby steps and compassion. 2 Avoid self judgment or self recrimination There should not be anything moralistic about change in lifestyle behavior patterns including those around energy science nutrition. 3 Eating with ecstasy is more sustainable than controlling foods consumed. 4 Joy motivates more than fear of dying so have...
