Wil, don't take this the wrong way, but I think your ankle injury worked. The fact that your character wasn't seen actually exercising when EVERYONE else was gave him an aloofness (is that a word?) that played into where I think you were going. Yes, you're in a triangle with Fargo and Dr. Marten, but you're playing from the position of strength because you know you're the better man. At least, you think you are....
Eureka: Up In The Air
Last night's episode of Eureka, Up In The Air, has my favorite moment of the entire season in it. I don't think it played as clearly in the edit as it read in the script, but it's when Carter gets so incredibly excited for a traditional bank robbery investigation, and then finds out from Andy th...
Happy Birthday Wil! You exactly the same age (and birthday) as my brother (assuming he gets to drop a year, like you did). He's actually 40. Regarding counting, as a geek, you should be counting in hex anyway. You're really only 27!
Spock is not impressed that it's my birthday
During w00tstock last week, I mentioned that I was turning 38 this week. After the show, Anne told me that I was, in fact, turning 39. In the few seconds that it took me to do some math, I lost a year of my life. Apparently, this is the sort of thing that happens when you get to be my age, which...
:-( I'll take solace in her last scene with Fargo.
In any event, really, really good work.
EUREKA: Glimpse
Last night's Eureka, Glimpse, was my first episode as a non-enraged-by-the-enraginator-device Doctor Parrish. I had completely forgotten about Fargo's commercial for the Astraeus project at the top of the show; when I saw that, the excitement of shooting the entire season came flooding back to m...
Wil, Great episode. I think you nailed the attitude, but I disagree that he's a character that we'll love to hate, at least as to the hate part. Right, he's an arrogant SOB, but the way you played him (and the way the other characters interacted with him), its clear that he's justified. There's just enough humanity there.
Re favorite scene, I agree, the police station with Carter.
Re Felicia's character, I hate to add a slight negative into an otherwise wonderful discussion, but please tell me that her character evolves over the next few episodes. My wife and I both like the character, but thought it was a bit too ditzy at times. Knowing the excellent writing they have for the show, I'm guessing yes, but it'll make the anticipation of the next episode more bearable knowing that. This wouldn't count as a spoiler, would it??

Wil,
I hope you had fun at GenCon. Unfortunately, I couldn't be there. However, as it happens, I was in Vegas last weekend and was able to squeeze in 1 day at the Star Trek Convention. Jonathan Frakes spoke and I just wanted you to know, if no one already told you, virtually the first words out of his mouth (after the "glad to be here" sentence) was props to you. He also mentioned that you and he were going to do a project together, but didn't mention what. Have you provided, or can you provide, details? I'd have to imagine that such a project would be great.
Jeff
Game on: GenCon info, chapbooks, and dice. Lots and lots of dice.
I leave for GenCon in about 3d12 hours. While I'm not thrilled about getting up at 4am on Thursday, knowing that the reward for dragging myself out of bed at areyoufuckingserious o'clock is three days of gaming and geeking makes it all worthwhile. I'm blessing dice, taking pictures, and signing ...
